In Your Opinions, Which Do You Prefer?

Not really in love w/ any of those girls names. I like the name Kari ok...but prefer the Carrie spelling. Just my opinion though.
Boys names...I like Jesse. I like Carter...for a boy.

I've had 1 baby w/ no meds but what they numbed me w/ before they gave me an episiotomy. And one baby w/ no drugs in the water.
Baby #3, (due in a few months) I plan to have in the water too.

I have only had three non-medicated deliveries so I vote Non-medicated!

Riley, Travis & Austin are popular names right now. Kari and April sound common.

I like Carter & Jesse.

I'm not to fond of any of the names, but I vote epidural all the way... Thatd the first thing I ask for when I hit the hospital doors lol...

My son has a friend named shaylee, I like that spelling better, I love that name. Kari is nice too.
For the boy Jesse is great name!
I had one epidural/c section, and one natural non medicated. I was 6 weeks before I could drive or lift my baby without pain after my c section. I was back on my riding lawnmower the same week after my natural birth.

As far as method of delivery...that should never be a choice. You should give vaginal birth unless a c-section is medically necessary. I delivered both of my children by c-section because of absolute medical necessity so for me, it was a wonderful experience. It is not, however, a wonderful experience for all and should never been chosen over vaginal births unless necessary. It's a major abdominal surgery and carries with it the risk of any other major surgery.

I labored drug free with both my children before my c-sections. I have no experience with an epidural to say whether or not that's better.

I don't like Shyliegh, it's sounds like you're trying too hard to be different with the spelling. I also just don't like the name. Carter is for a boy I don't care what anyone says. I like Kari out of all of them.
For a boy I like Travis, or Riley isn't bad.
Epidural all the way!!! I've had 2 and I highly recommend them. Don't feel bad to get one, it's not like the hospital sends you home with a special medal or plaque that says 'i did it natural'. There is no medical reason you must suffer through that kind of pain. An epidural will be your best friend.

All the names are cute.

For girls, I like April the best, followed by Kari. With Kari, some people will pronounce it like Carrie and others like Cahr-y.
I don't like Shyliegh and find it hard to spell and pronounce. I have only ever known boys named Carter, so I think she'd go through her whole life with people expecting a boy when they first hear the name.

For boys, I like all of the ones you mentioned.

Personally, having a non-medicated birth was totally not an option for me! I got my epidural as soon as I possibly could. Granted, labor with my first was long and I had a ton of pushing with no progress, so he ended up a c-section. Did a repeat c-section with my second. Do what feels right to you.

Shyliegh sounds cute, but looks misspelled. Shyleigh is most likely how to spell it.

Epidural for me... but every delivery if vastly different.

Chose to have a non-medicated vaginal delivery with each of mine. I actually like Kari and Jesse.

I have a niece named Shaylee - I like Shyliegh, but please realize your daughter will go through life having to spell her name for everyone, and everyone will still misspell it. You might streamline the spelling. I also like Kari. For a boy, I think Travis is great.

I had 2 epidurals and - just me personally - from what I could feel (through the epidural) I'd never want to attempt non-medicated delivery. With an epidural, my deliveries were manageable and I didn't feel like I'd run a marathon afterward.

For girls - Kari or April. Shyleigh would have to spell her name to every single person she meets her entire life, and Carter would be mistaken for a boy all the time. For boys - Jesse, Travis or Austin. Riley is too much of a girl's name.

And if you have a choice as to how to give birth, I think pretty much everyone would agree that a vaginal delivery (with or without epidural) is better for both the mom and baby. But if you have a medical need, a C-section is certainly just fine.

For names I like Austin or Carter for a boy. For a girl I like Kari or Riley.
All of my deliveries were vaginal, some with blocks and some not. In my day there were no epidurals only blocks. If you can take the pain it's much better without the block. Everyone I know who had c-section and vaginal said vaginal was easier.

On names, I'm not sure, I guess I'd vote for April and Jesse or Travis.

As far as delivery I had to have a c-section with my first and then opted one for the second so I don't really know. I certainly wouldn't opt for a c-section unless necessary...well I guess that sounds sort of hypocritical since I did have a second, but since I was already one down I felt that was the best choice for us, but it is a major surgery and unless you are in a situation where it seems like the best/safest option I wouldn't put it on the table!

I had 5 natural (well 3 were induced) and my last I had an epidural because I had a mini-stroke 3 weeks before my due date & they wanted minimal stress on my body. Acutally they debated a c-section & I really wanted no part of that. The epidural was strange to me after having so many without... I didn't like not feeling my legs or not being able to tell what was going on. I was use to being told by my contractions when to push, but couldn't feel them... so the doc had to watch the monitor & tell me when to. Yes, I only had to push about 3 times w/ the epidural... but it was still odd to me.

Oh, I also had to go on O2 after the epidural and lay a certain way... her heart rate dropped & they had to get it back up and keep it up. But to keep it up I had to lay on my left side... which means more med went into my left leg, so it was nummer & with it being my bad leg - it took over 12 hours to "wake-up" and it was suppose to "wake-up" about 2-3 hours afterwards.

I personnaly would perfer to deliver natural, but then again I always feel the less meds the better you are.

As to the names... I have always like odd names that I don't hear often, but seem to hear all the time after I name my kids - lol.

Sorry I like Kari or Riley for a girl, and carter, Austin, Travis for boys. I wish I could have gone unmedicated, didn't like not being able to eat or move around with the epidural. Csection was necessary and easier than I thought, but I wouldn't choose it if it wasn't necessary.

My labor and delivery was so quick there was no time for medication. So I am saying natural now, but if I were to get pregnant again and it be a long labor I may change my mind. =)

With Riley and Jesse I think of girls, so for me I'd go with Travis. For the girl name, I love April.

I had one emergency c-section and one scheduled c-section. I wish I could of gone vaginal. The recovery from a c-section was tough for me, and I didn't like not feeling my legs. With the emergency c-section, I had so much drugs, I couldn't feel my legs for 24 hours and I almost fell asleep during delivery and I was afraid to hold my baby because I had no control over my limbs and I was afraid to drop her. With the second scheduled c-section, everything went much smoother. I was very aware during delivery and had complete control of my arms and I regained feeling in my legs again after 6 hours.

Love shyllsgh and Travis but the name will come to you when he or she is in your arms for the first time. As for delivery..that too will come to you as you near your due date and attend birthing classes.

I love Kari and Riley. I wanted to name my son Riley but hubby said no.

I only had one baby and it was a c-section and an epidural. I was up and about in no time with my c-section.
But i only had a c-section because I was not dilating, even with pitocin, otherwise I would have had a vaginal with an epidural

I had a really rough labor with my first. She was premature and I started out non-medicated, then had an epidural that didn't work because it was too late in the game for it but they tried anyway and then ended up with an emergency c-section because the baby was stuck and in distress. My second was a scheduled c-section which, for me, was much easier and a delight compared to my first experience. But my experience is rare. Most natural and epidural/spinal deliveries are good experiences for all involved.

I don't know how to answer the experiences as I've only had one and I planned to get drugs from the beginning. I'm a wimp. Once my contractions kicked in, I last about 20 minutes before I was pushing that button! Never had a c-section, but during labor was desperate for one just to get it over with. But, I have a couple of friends who did get ones and they had additionally discomforts I know of that I didn't have to worry about. I think the best experience though is the one where you get to make the most informed and safest decisions for YOU in the moment. You can plan all you want, but you really won't know whats best till your actually there.

I have had both no-drugs and epidural births, but no experience with Caesar.

I definitely, without a doubt, indubitably preferred an epidural.

Epidural all the way! Im not a sit and suffer type and I couldn't have one with my first (pre eclampsia) and it was BAD. My second I had a epidural and no big deal at all! Your body will tell you what to do! Best of luck!

I like April and Travis. If we have a boy one day we plan to name him Travis. ;) I was induced with my daughter and did not have any pain medication. If I have to be induced with the next baby I will definitely get an epidural. If I don't have to be induced then I know I can handle natural birth. Pitocin (for induction) makes the contractions way stronger and closer together. I have nothing to compare it to but all I know is it was horrible. My daughter is 17 months and I still remember how painful it was. Good luck to you!

Decide if you want a gender neutral name or a definitely feminine or masculine name.
My husband wanted Shelby for our second but our first has a very masculine name so we went with a more feminine name for our daughter.
