I know it's early but I am already starting to think about my girls' birthdays that will be in March! My oldest daughter will be turning 3 and my twin girls will be turning 1! Looking for suggestions on doing ONE party for the three of them.
For my older daughter we have already done a music themed party (1st bday) and Gymboree (2nd bday). Is there anything out there that is good for both ages (1yr and 3yrs)?
Girl parties are fun and much easier to plan than boy parties. I would suggest a dress-up party, princess tea party, or choose a theme or character that all of the girls enjoy. There are lots of things you could do at home without going to a place. Unfortunately the weather is still cold in March so many outside activities are out of the question. Enjoy & have fun!!!
You could do a Princess Party.
Odyssey Fun World has a exploration adventure that has a huge area that the bigger kids can climb, go thru tunnels & slides, jumpy areas & ball pits, and an area for the smaller ones that has things for them to climb & play. Kind of like a huge version of a McDonalds playland & the mall kid's play area combined.
You can supervise both areas easily & it even has a quiet room with leather recliners next to it w/ a glass wall if you need to nurse or napping baby or whatever.
They also have private rooms for the food portion.
my girls are the same difference in age and we always have a joint party. it has always worked out well. when the little ones are one you kind of need to focus on what the older one likes to do since the little ones cant do much. we have had a circus themed party and a luau party. both had bounce houses w/ slides. Not sure if you are planning this at your home or looking for a place to have party. if you're thinking of a place gymboree, gymnastic place, chuck e. cheese, our gym has great parties! if you are in the south burbs then there is a dress up place that has great parties called drama queens. you dress up have tea party etc.
How about going to a place where you can rent bouncy houses - kids of all ages love these (adults love it too). There are places that have whole rooms full, and you can rent the room for several hours with pizza and cake. Good luck.
How about an Easter Egg hunt? Even if it's chilly,it's okay for the kids to be outside for a few minutes of fresh air while they look for eggs. We had these several years in a row when my twins were little. (They have an early April birthday) I filled several hundred little plastic eggs each kid got a bucket (counted as part of their take home treat)and they went crazy looking for all of the eggs. One year I ordered an Easter Bunny costume on Ebay and my nephew dressed up as the Easter Bunny and gave each of the kids coloring books, crayons and a cute easter chick necklace. We colored eggs together and did an age appropriate craft.
