I need to sell my barely used treadmill and I dont know how to go about doing it. I tried to put it on ebay but even if it doesnt sell I still have to pay fees and really dont want to shell out 10.00 or more to try to sell this being that it is going to have to be locally picked up! I paid $1300.00 for this nordic track and its only been used maybe 5 or 6 times there is only 9 miles on the mile o meter thingy! I think its called an odometer! We just moved to Bartlett.. and I dont have room for this in my house and just had a baby and am not working and need money fast. I had gastric bypass shortly after purchasing this treadmill and I no longer need it. Willing to sell for $750.00 or best offer. If you know of a plave that buys used equipment not being on consignment can you please let me know.. or if you know of a place I can advertise for free or just a dollar or two please let me know as well as this is a big item even though it folds up for storage it weights about 350 pounds its not like someone is looking to buy one every day nor is it like everyone can get enough people to help pick up or a vehicle to transport it in.

What can I do next?

Hi J.,

You could try the Fitness Exchange. They buy/sell/trade used equipment.

I would suggest to post it on craigslist.org. It's a great website and you can post things on there for free.

I definitely agree that craigslist is the way to go. http://chicago.craigslist.org/

You can post for free, it's local too so no shipping...in your ad just put that you want cash only and buyer must pick up. If you get any weird responses, you don't have to reply (you go through craigslist and no one sees your e-mail address unless you respond). Watch for scams (I got a lot when I tried to sell a car) -- just be firm cash only. You can do a little research to see what the going rate is -- you might not get your price but if you're patient and want to get rid of it, you'll probably get some offers. Good luck!

J. if you like and can take pics and give me details I can list it on my site for you. I get over 5,000 hits each month. If you have an offer I would ask that you do the dealings with them and arrange pic ups and what not. I won't take a % I just like having a wide range of things to sell and I already have a workout section :)

There are a few garage sale online sites out there that you could list it for free. In Yahoo groups there is Dupage Garage sale and there is a Naperville garage sale site on its own. http://www.napervilleyardsales.com.
