Help Me Out Stories?

I just tried, with difficulty, to put away the canned tuna in the refrigerator and the gallon of milk in the pantry. And the only reason I was not successful is that the stacked cans of tuna did not fit into the spot correctly, so after a few pushes, I realized something was amiss.

I have swapped them around. But what if I had not noticed, and what if I was like 90 and ate it the next day thinking it was all OK?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I know the cold tuna is safe...it's the warm milk that I'd for sure still drink and hope for the best, b/c I'm not going back to the store for another gallon.

Our fridge has an alarm that chimes if the door is left open. I was in the backyard for quite a while and walk back inside to the alarm 'ding ding ding ding'. I holler up stairs to my son (the only other person in the house) "do you hear this alarm on the fridge?" He hollers back "yeah, I heard that, what is it...?" Really.....
This is the same sweet boy who has got in the car to leave with one shoe on.... :)

This is an emabarrassing and funny story that I was the star of. We got a new puppy so I took him to his first puppy check up. Wellllllll, I am sitting there waiting to be called in, looking at a magazine when the vet tech comes out to the waiting area and calls out the dogs first and last name. I look up and she looks and me, well I am thinking who is going to stand up because they have the SAME LAST NAME AS MINE and I want to see who it is! She calls the name probably THREE more times and I still sit there, then it occurs to me, that is US! I did NOT want to stand up, as I was mortified that I am so scatter brained, wth?!!!! I am sure that as I went in everyone had a good laugh as it was pretty comical, I know it would of and it did, give me comic relief for the day.

So, my son's doing his speech therapy homework, which consists of saying "The thief in the bathtub" over and over again.

I, meanwhile, I am writing a note to go in his homework folder. It's supposed to say "Lunch is in backpack" (i.e., I packed him a lunch; he's not buying it from the cafeteria). Two minutes before the bus arrives the next morning, I look at that note for some reason. "Lunch is in bathtub," it says.

I am getting so tired of forgetting things and doing oddball stuff! I have told my husband to keep an eye on me, as I suspect he'll have to hire someone to follow me around soon to keep me and the kiddo safe. :-)

Just today, me and DD are driving to the store and I panic- "what time is piano?" She can't even believe she has to answer me. She's been going for four years, but for some reason the time didn't sound right. Seriously, I should be committed.

Glad you realized!!

So when the coffee is done brewing in the morning, I put it into an airtight caraffe. The coffee goes in, the top goes on with a turn; lefty loosey, righty tighty. Right?
So why did I keep turning the wrong way for about two minutes this morning, cursing the dammed coffee pot??!!??

Just a couple weeks ago, I was pouring my son a bottle of milk. I set the jug on a chair in the kitchen and the cap on the table. As I was walking away to give the bottle to my son (I was going to put the milk away immediately after wards) I thought to myself 'I'm going to forget that there'... And guess what I forgot?
