I would bring her to a natural health center to have a full allergy test done.She could be allegric to dairy. My son was allegric to wheat and dairy which the doctor never picked up on.It can possibly save on having to take medicine for symptoms in the long run.A lot of doctors (no disrespect) treat the symptoms rather than the cause.He has fantastic health since.

Here's something we found on our own, that no one ever seems to mention. If you're bottle feeding, make sure the nipples don't get worn out. After a few weeks, the flow would get too fast and both our kids would start spitting up more.
Also, vent-air type bottles will leave some residue in the bottom around the venting pieces and eventually will get moldy. This also seems to cause some stomach-upset. Take them apart to wash them.
Babies do this a lot, and they are very hard to deal with, but they grow out of it. Keep plenty of burp cloths handy. I hope she gets better soon.

Hi, dont worry. My daughter had the same problem at this time, now she is 6 months and it is gone now. She will grow out of it. Maybe your baby need meds for acid so it will decrease some of the acid taste and pain she has every time she is vomiting. A lots of babies has this problem and i know how you feeling. some babies has it up to 1 year of age but you never know when it will stop. Nobody know why this happening. Just be patient and hold your baby when she is vomiting so she feels you next to her and she will feel good. I am sorry that your baby has it but it will stop and its not so serious. I was so worry to and went from one MD to another and pay a lots of money everywhere but you just have to be patient and it will stop. good luck

First of all , I lov eyou for listening to your instincts. Drs tend to do the trial and error thing at first anyways. It is more than reflux, i am sorry to tell you. SHe definitely has a food intolerance and allergy. You need to go back and have her tested for blood in her stool. It is very easy and they can do it right there in the office. They take a q-tip swab and wipe it on a slide and look under a microscope. now you need to make sure they do this more than once if it is negative at a differnt visit if this keeps happening. Second, get her on nutramagin or aliementum formula and then have her bottom retested. If there still is blood after these hypoallergenic formulas you know she has an allergy , most likely wheat or milk but take it with a grain of salt and get your daughter better. She is damamging her Gi trac inside and that is why she is not growing tons due to the malapsorption from what she is drinking. The hypo allergienc formula should heal her pain, help he sleep better and stop the vomiitng but you have to give it at least two weeks ok. then rester her bottom. if there is still blood after two week, you need to demand or get a referral to a GI dr and get her on Eleare or Neocate. yes your insurance will cover this but you need to prove there is blood there first ok. now just for future refence and late on when you try solid foods which i would delay as long as you can so you do not have futher allergy reactions. There is a new and up and coming disease called Eosnophilic Disorder, kids are being diagnosed at an alarming rate right now. YOu r daughter has the early signs these kids have and go though with drs. Do not freak out it is not a bad disease however please DO NOT give your child a reflux medicine called REGLAN it has a class action law suit for causing seizures and tics in children and still not off the market jsut yet. Drs should know aobut it but you jsut never know and need to be proactive these days. Please pay attenion when you daughte rdoes go to solid food though for ED. Not enough info to give you a complete answer, but if you are partially breast feeding/partially using formula, switch to all breast. If you're all breast, try eliminating commen allergens (wheat, dairy, etc) for 2-4 weeks, then adding them back in one at a time, one per week so you can see if one of those is causing the trouble. If you are strictly formula feeding, try different formulas. Goat milk based seems to be tolerated well by many babies, probably because it's closer to breast in chemical composition. But it can be hard to find. If your pediatrician isn't listening to you, being responsive or helping, get a second opinion or try a specialist. Good luck with your little girl. It's awful watching them struggle when they're tiny.

I highly recommend taking your child to
see a chiropractor. Reflux is caused by subluxation (tension and pressure) on the spine.
I have been seeing a chiropractor for about a year now. I had reflux so badly, I was taking 5-10 tums per day and sometimes other medicines as well. Since about 6 months into my chiropractic care, I have seen great changes. I rarely take medicines for reflux now. If I take anything, it's one tums at night (and I'm also pregnant!).
Chiropratic has helped so much for me, I know it will also do a lot for your daughter. Don't feel worried about having your baby adjusted. My daughter has been adjusted since she was 4mo and our new baby will be adjust the day s/he is born.

I would get a second opinion. If your doctor is not worried, its most likely nothing, but it will make you feel better if you get another opinion. Also, don't be afraid to ask your doctor questions and push the issue if you are not convinced what they are telling you.

Two words: Similac Alimentum. It's a hypoallergenic formula and it will work wonders. Seriously, it's magic. It is VERY expensive but completely worth it. My daughter had NO problems from the second she started this formula around 2 1/2 months old. We didn't want her to constantly be on prevacid so this is why her pediatrician told us to change formula's. And this was after exhausting other possibilites because of the formula being so expensive. Talk to your pediatrician about Alimentum.

My son had acid reflux and took meds and almost grew out of it. Occasionally he has to go back on for a week. Your daughter is so young and if you feel that your doctor is not listening to you or just need reassurance, please go and get a second opinion. There is nothing wrong with that, even if they end up saying the same thing, at least you know. Most doctors won't care or shouldn't care. This is your child and you are her advocate, you need to know so you can take care of her. what you are feeling and doing is just being a great mother.

I breast fed my son and avoided everything that could possibly cause him to have acid reflux so I know what yo uare going thru. The ONLY thing that stopped him from having it was a prescription called Previcide Solutabs. They crunch up super easy (can do it between your fingers). We started giving him just a 1/4 tablet twice a day (mixed with what ever he ate/drank) and he almost immediatly stopped throwing up.

We also weened him off ourselves by slowing giving him less and less and now he no longer has any issues (he's 5.5 years old).

Prior to the solutabs, we tried everything else and all else failed. It's time released too, so it's not like she'll get the medicine in her system at once.

my son had acid reflux he had to take liquid zantac till he was one. and was on soy formula.

I am with Lisa, my son wasn't gaining weight as he should have been, doc wasn't really worried, put me on all different types of formulas; however, my gut kept telling me this was something else! Took him to the ER, where they have to run tests. He was dehydrated, and ultrasound showed Pyloric Stenosis. If this goes untreated, it is fatal.....have this tested!!! my son gained more weight than your daughter...he was 7lbs 8 oz when he was born, but at 5 weeks he was only 9 lbs....babies should grow faster than that. My poor pumpkin was wanting to eat all the time, and after the projectile vomiting ( which was sometimes 6 feet across the room ) he would just go to sleep all curled up around his tummy. listen to your instincts...see another doc for a second opinion. my son had issues - they told me it was acid reflux - he was projectile vomiting and losing weight...finally one day he just didn't look right, i called they told me to give him pedialyte - for a 2 month old!! I demanded to see the doc. good thing i did...he was dehydrated. not only that, we found out he had pyloric stenosis (a muscle between the stomach and intestines becomes enlarged and food can't pass) - we actualyl asked about this b/c my husband had it and they dismissed it. docs don't know everything. my son had to be in intensive care for 3-4 days and then have surgery...it was not fun. he's perfect now at 3 1/2, just a little on the small side. go to another pediatrician, one thru a reputable hospital and get a second opinion. hope all goes well for you and your daughter!

A lot of babies get this and they grow out of it eventually. Depending on the severity, they can put her on medicine. My 9 month old had it a little but it wasn't bad enough to require medicine. If you really think something is off though, go back to the doctor or call and talk to a nurse. They can reassure that she's ok and/or give you warning signs to look for that will let you know that she needs to be checked again.
I know your biggest concern is that she is ok. We all worry!!!! My freak outs revolve around fevers........
