Health Issue - Tustin,CA

Hi B., I had my gall bladder removed laparoscopically when I was 23. I had gall stones and they were causing tremendous pain whenever I ate anything fatty or greasy. The procedure was a snap. So easy, outpatient and minimal pain. Honestly it was the best thing they could have done for me. I've never had the pain again, though I will say that I am unable to tollerate super fatty or greasy foods well. I'm a very healthy eater as it is, but once in a while I like to indulge and I just notice that it does upset my stomach, although NO WHERE NEAR the kind of pain I was experiencing w/the gall stones. My Mother & Grandmother also subsequently had the same procedure and both are also doing fine and pleased w/the results. As for recovery, I just had to take it easy for a couple of days laying on the couch. The scars are teeny tiny. When I wear a bikini no one can even tell. Hope this helps!

Hi B....I had my gallbladder out almost a year ago (I'm in my 50's) and it was a really easy procedure. I had it removed by the out-patient laparoscopic procedure...it was taken out at 10:00 am and I was home by 3:00 p.m. I have some little teeny tiny marks that you can hardly see. Had it done on a Thursday and went to visit my grandson the following day who had been born the night before. I was back at work on Tuesday. You're daughter will do just fine. And, I feel so much better....I had been experiencing extreme pain for about a year previously. Just have her take it easy for a few days and she'll be good as new. Don't know where you live, but I had a great surgeon in Orange County, CA. Good luck!

Why are they removing the gallbladder? Find out if there is any way to save it. I have never been the same since having my gallbladder removed. I they can save it- it would benefit..
