You need to go the doctor. We cannot diagnose you over the internet. If you don't have the money find a planned parenthood. Please get to the doctor, this isn't something to ignore.

This is a question for a medical professional, not the internet. You need to make an appointment with a gynecologist. Only his/her exam can tell you what is causing the lack of periods. Good luck

Time to go get it checked out. If you arent on any hormonal birth control methods it could be a fibroid or somethin. Quit stressing, get on the table and spreadem ;)

This has happened to me earlier this year and I found out that it was related to stress. It is amazing the changed that stress will put your body through. Relax a little bit, get yourself a massage, and stop worrying about the things that you can't change

A lot of different things can change your menstrual cycle. Stress can absolutely cause a missed period. If you haven't had your period in 3 months, are not pregnant, and are not taking birth control, you really do need to get checked out. For your sanity if nothing else. Worrying like this will not help. You don't want to wait on this one hun.

Depending on your age, of course, this can be normal. If you're so worried, you should see your doctor.

I missed 3 periods last year - I honestly thought it was early menopause ( I am 37) but lo and behold, this year they are back to normal. I believe mine was caused by stress.

Are you over or under weight. THis can cause you to miss periods.

When you go to the OBGYN be sure to ask for a sonogram and blood test. They should be checking your for PCOS.

When you went to the clinic, did they do an exam, too? Or just the urine or blood test? If you've had a thorough exam and the doc said you're not pregnant, I'd go with that and keep looking for other answers.

As most people mentioned, you need to be seen by an ob/gyn. Even though stress can definitely cause missed periods, there are multiple other causes, both gynecological, as well as other hormonal problems, caused by multiple imbalances, so the gyn can order an ultrasound, as well as a battery of blood tests to look at your sex hormones (LH, FSH, estradiol, testosterone, DHEAS), thyroid hormones, etc. Good luck!

Here's the only advice anyone on here should give you. Obviously this isn't normal so go to your GYN doc. It probably is nothing, but no one on here can tell you anything.

Stress can cause you to miss a cycle. So can a rapid weight loss. Are you extreme dieting?

Oooh, I was hoping someone would mention what it could be. I haven't had a period in sometime, either. Several negative pregnancy tests, including two in the ER (nothing to do with my period), my youngest is 2 1/2, not on birth control ... anything else? I have no idea what the deal is. I have an appointment with my OB/GYN next week, so I'll see what she says.

I am 39 years old, but I think I'm too young for menopause ... my mom was in her 40's.

I'm sorry this is causing you so much worry. To be honest, I don't really think about it too much.

Make an appointment, and in the mean time, try not to think about it too much. It could be something, but it really could be nothing. Hang in there!
