Halloween Costume Ideas - Coppell,TX

I've searched several stores for a cute pre-fab Halloween costume for a 2 yr old boy, and I am not finding very much. TONS of things for girls, but very little for boys. Most toddler boy costumes are really cheesy or very flimsy. I think I'd like to just put something together myself like we used to do "back in the good old days" (yikes, getting old here using that line). But I can't come up with a good idea other than a '50's outfit (like in the Grease movies). Any ideas?

What can I do next?

A crayon. Just put him in a solid colored outfit get a poster board that color and write CRAYON on the side then make a pointed hat for him to wear. If you have the solid colored outfit already this should only cost a few dollars worth of posterboard, string or ribbon to hold the hat on, and a big permanent marker. I think this would be really cute for a toddler.

I make costumes every year. Love this website...http://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com Tehy give you ideas, people give instructions on making your own and approximate cost. I have never copied anything verbatim, but it has been a big help with lots of costumes.

I used to buy all of our costumes from Lillian Vernon. When our daughter was 2-3ish, our daughter loved dinosaurs and I got an adorable one from LV.

Our neighborhood is FULL of kiddos and we see some adorable little ones come through. One of my favorites was Pebbles and Bam Bam.

Enjoy! They grow up SO fast.

A scarecrow is a simple homemade costume.

floppy, wide-brimmed hat
denim overalls (attach "patches" with safety pins)
plaid, flannel shirt
raffia for the straw sticking out of pant legs and shirt sleeves
can embellish with small stuffed animal crow attached to his shoulder, little mouse coming out of pocket, small dried corn cob in another pocket
