Hair on Fingers?

Hi! This might sound like a ridiculous question, but I just noticed recently that the lower 1/3 of my fingers are really hairy! It's blond so it doesn't really show up too much, but now that I've noticed it it is irritating me! It has probably always been like this, but I just noticed it. Do other people have hairy fingers? Do you have the hair removed somehow, or just leave it? Thanks!

What can I do next?

It's totally normal - I remember in biology class when we learned about genes, there were actual 'knuckle hair' genes...and I have that gene! I shave it off - it bugged me too - but my hair is darker and I had thick arm hair as well that I shave off...so you're not a freak! It's up to you if you want to remove it or not - if it's blond, I wouldn't worry about it, but you can always shave it off - I have been doing it for years and it works well.

Hm, well I just looked at my fingers... and it seems fine. But its subjective huh? Hopefully I don't look like an ape. LOL

You can wax it, or use hair removal creams, or just shave it. Shaving being the easiest. (no shaving has not made hair come back darker or more.... at least in my personal experience.)

I do that with my arms sometimes... because just for personal preference, because my hair is dark.

good luck,
Susan

It's a genetic thing. Many people have hair on their fingers. You can wax it off. Or if you want to spend the money you can have laser hair removal.

Super easy to get rid of, be super careful, shave it off with your shaver! And if you look at your big toe closely, you will see hair there to, shave it too. This will be something that you will have to continue with if you choose, BUT since you are blonde and just noticed it, it's so light, leave it unless it really bothers you!

So many people have hair on the fingers, it's normal. It is also very light on mine, I just don't care about it. I had to look very close to see it and I am brunette. It also has alot to do with nationality..I have czech in me, so I could tend to have darker hair, but my sister is the one where you can see her hair, even on her arms way more darker than mine. The other nationalities I have are more prominant, so hair doesn't appear dark on me.

Funny thing is the same thing happened to me. Just leave it. I'm sure no one has noticed. As a side note removing the hairs on yours fingers REALLY hurts. I've done it and it hurt more than waxing my eyebrows etc. It hurt enough that I never attempted to do it again and I only did one finger. Trust me if the hairs are not obvious, just leave them alone. Good Luck!

I also have hair there too -Drives me crazy !!
I usually take little scissors after a shower and cut it right down. Shaving has never crossed my mind - i would be more upset if it came back in thick and darker because of it!!! I bet no on else has ever noticed it but me - we are our own worst critics......
do what ever will make you feel better about it!

Humans have hair all over our bodies except for the soles of the feet and palms of the hands. Most of it is very fine and difficult to see (without a magnifying glass).

It's called "mid-digit" hair, and it is genetic. Ah, the strange things we remember from 10th grade biology :)

I use an epilady on my arms and fingers. It hurts the first time but then you get used to. Other people probably don't even notice, but I do and it bothers me. I'm glad to learn I'm not the only one who has this! Good luck whatever you choose.

I have the hairy fingers too. If i'm not tan they seem to stick out even more. I would think if you want to remove it wax it. Don't shave it bc then the texture is different.
