I need a $3-5 gift for each of the 12-15 ladies at our extended family xmas get together. Most are in their 50's or older. We've done the socks, jelly, lotion, soaps, chocolate, mini-perfumes, hand towels, potholders, chapsticks, etc., but I'm stumped this year and looking for something new/different this year. What about a Christmas ornament? I was at Michaels this week and they had some lovely ones that hold a picture. I don't recall the price but I noticed that they were on sale this week. If buying single ornaments is too expensive, you can buy a box of nice ones and split them up in individual gift bags.
Books: Half price books has a great selection of small "gift books" - books on a certain theme like quotes for women, or Maxine books, poetry or cute photos, etc.
Stationary: Purchase boxes of blank greeting cards with nice covers.
Photo albums or frames - the small ones can be found for under $5.
Costume Jewelry - There are quite a few options for under $5.

Lakeside Collection has a set of 6 flavored popcorn salts for about $7.00. You could break them up and package each with a couple of bags of microwave popcorn or a small jar or bag of popcorn kernels. You could also do hot chocolate with a small bag of marshmallows. They have some at the store that are chocolate and vanilla or strawberry and vanilla.
