My son lost his first tooth a month or so ago. The "tooth fairy" brought him a new light up electric toothbrush that he LOVES. It's green when he should be brushing, then turns red when he's done.
Well, now we have another loose tooth- I'll probably give it another week or so.
We do give him the standard dollar in coins, but I also like for the tooth fairy to promote good dental hygiene. Since we've done the cool toothbrush, I'd love some really fun ideas for the next fairy visit. What are some cool dental related items that your kids have?
We give money but you could also give those cute animal flavored flosses. My son loves flossing with them.
Now that its started, my advice is to keep things on hand as he may lose back-to-back or you won't realize how lose one really is.
We always gave money and sugar free gum as it was easy to keep on hand. There are a lot of teeth to lose so be prepared.
I like the idea of the cool floss pick things...they do make cute ones for kids.
You could also do a bottle of kids mouth wash.
My daughter likes the kids flossers. I have seen some in dinosaur shapes so if you find those, he might really like them. We have the ones shaped like different animals. And they are not at all expensive. I think getting a child to floss is 3 times harder than brushing. At least it has been with my kids. Next time could be a mouth rinse.
Like it was mentioned, be prepared with easy things since those teeth do tend to follow one another pretty quick. We are waiting fo rmy 5 yr old's loose teeth to come out. It has been over a month.
