My son's first birthday is in January, I have to plan a head because I am terriably busy with school, work and baby...so heres my problem; I live in a small apartment, so thats out of the question, I can't have it at my dads because then I can't invite my mom, and vice versa, so I am thinking of places to have it that still have a little of the "romance" a house has...but somehere where I can invite my mom and my dad, without having to have 2 parties....so if you have any suggestions, I am open for them.

What can I do next?

The place I love for parties is Family Village in New Hope. It would be perfect for what you need. They have LOTS of room to play; toys & activities for the kids; sofas & tables for everyone; and cafe that serves snacks, and coffee. They take reservations for parties - you can book parties for after their regular business hours. Check out http://www.familyvillage.net/

If its mostley going to be adults Bucca's is not a bad idea, kinda expensive though. You could do chukie cheese if you have alot of kids, remember if your going to have alot of kids its hard to have a home like setting.

Do you belong to a church? Usually if you're a member they'll let you use their kitchen entertaining area. How about a hotel meeting room?

Have you looked at your local parks? I have the same situation with my parents. It only cost me 30 to rent a room at the local park. Plenty of room for the kids to play and tables etc for the adults to talk. Plus you can bring your own food in so it keeps the expense down.

Good Luck!
