Little Learners at First Baptist of Raytown is wonderful. Last year was my sons first year and he and I both loved it. The security is great. You need a security badge to get into the building and into the room block. The playground area is totally gated and the have an indoor playground as well. The prices are reasonalbe as well. Hope this helps.

Mine aren't old enough to go to preschool yet but I have also had lots of friends to have taken their kids to the preschool at the High Schools. Both Raytown and Raytown South have the program but I think the hours might be a little different from one to the other so you should check with both of them to see which one would fit your schedule better.

Hi S.,

I too, live in the Raytown area. My two older kids have both attended Raytown High School for their Baby Jays program. It's a H.S. class where the students teach the pre-schoolers. It's sort of a college prep class for those who will be doing any kind of teaching, childcare, etc. in the future. They have a teacher in the classroom as well. My children absolutely LOVE the H.S. aged kids sooooo much! It was only $50 each semester, too. Not like regular pre-school where you have to pay an arm and a leg, uggghhh! We just couldn't afford that.

Each of the pre-schoolers had their own H.S. "buddy," and sometimes even 2. It was amazing how much they truly cared for the little ones. I even got some #'s for babysitting for over the summer from some of the girls one year.

If you're interested, I'd call the school district and talk to them about it, or if you're involved, call your Parents As Teachers person and they can help you out as well.

Hope this helps!
Liz W.

My daughter goes to D&D small world and it is the best. We love it. I just went back to work and was very scared to leave her with just anybody, plus I wanted her to be learning new things not just playing and watching t.v all day. Mrs.Denny is the owner and she is wonderful, you should go check them out.

S.,
I am not sure. But does Raytown Baptist Church have one?
It has been awhile since I had to check these things out.
But I hear this is a good church and usually churches
have these things. Especially ones as big as this one.
I would also check the phone book and go and visit some
and see which one I liked for my child.
My best to you.......K.
