Double Jogging Stroller: Need to Make a Final Decision.

I know I've asked before, but I am still torn. Mountain Buggy Duo or BOB Revolution Duallie?

I am not an avid runner, so it will probably be used for walking, going to the beach, the store, etc more often than running.

It will be using it every day.

Fitting through a normal doorway is a huge PLUS.

I have 2 1/2 year old who is very tall for her age, and a 15 month old.

I want to get at least a couple years use out of this.

For those of you who have a BOB duallie, how wide is it? Can you fit through most/all door ways?

Has anyone owned/used a mountain buggy, what do you think?

I know everyone loves BOBs. ;) Just trying to get some more input on the MB because I don't know anyone who owns one.

TIA

What can I do next?

I can't give you any real answers on the MB, although I have an online friend who has one and loves it. The Bob, though - I'm an expert. Yes - the Duallie fits through regular doors. I routinely rolled it right through my single front door and into our entry to get out of the wind or rain. I found one door in a store it didn't fit through, and that was a building built in the 30s. I even used it while shopping at Target - because it turned so smoothly, I could push the Bob through the clothes department and not get caught on the racks. I loved it. My husband ran marathons pushing our girls in it. He loved it.

Last word on the Bob - when you're done you can resell it. I purchased mine for $480 at the REI yearly sale in 2008 and resold it for $350 this spring. So I basically paid $130 for three years of stroller.

How tall is your 2 1/2 year old? I have a Bob revolution, but just the single one. I have to say that my son is 40 inches tall and his head touches the sun shade. It doesn't seem to bother him, but if I recline the seat his head sticks out. I put a pillow in there for early morning runs which helps that problem. Just something I wish I'd known.

My friend has a Phil and Ted and it's really cool and it's an inline. Other than the height thing, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Bob :-)

Good luck!!!

Just to give you another consideration... the Bumbleride dualie. Love it! Have had it for more than a year and it's holding up well. It fits through all doors and maneuvers VERY easily. I don't use it to jog much, but it is very easy to push. I also have a single BOB revolution which I love. I think they're probably all great strollers. Enjoy!
