Does This Christmas Treasure Hunt Sound Fun to You?

"Every Christmas there was always one 'big' gift that Santa would leave me. However, instead of just sitting it right under the tree with the rest of my presents, Santa would make me go on a treasure hunt for it. One of the wrapped boxes under the tree was empty except a single piece of paper with a clue written on it. I used that clue to find the next box, and that box's clue to find the next one. Some years there were as many as 10 boxes. I had a blast running all around the house (inside and out) trying to find these boxes and figure out where Santa left my present. Although this has stopped since I went off to college and moved out of the house, I hope that someday I will be able to create the same experience for my own children."
I can't wait to try it.

What can I do next?

Sounds fun to me! And when the kids are old enough, sounds like a GREAT way to keep them busy so M. and Dad can get a little extra sleep. :)

That sounds like a lot of fun! My parents used to hide my Easter basket and say the bunny left it by the door, in a bush -wherever they hid it. I always loved searching for it when I woke up because it never was where I had left it. I found myself automatically doing that the first time I got to play Easter bunny! I may use your treasure hunt idea in a few years!

Too funny!

I always exchange presents with my cousin and I AM DOING THIS! I already have the clues and gifts wrapped and ready! I'm so excited to see her face when she opens the first one and sees that she has to go on a "hunt"!

PS> I would do this for my older daycare kids for Easter and they LOVED it!
