Did Anyone Else Get Stretch Marks During Your C-section?

I had a blemish-free belly for 3 pregnancies and when I had my 2nd c-section 2 weeks ago they really had to push the baby out as he was wedged in my left side. Now I have some stretch marks on that side of my belly and it is so annoying to me! I had never heard of this happening so wondered if anyone else had this experience.

What can I do next?

I have had 2 c-sections and I don't have any stretch marks. Not super sure if the c-section it self actually causes stretch marks. I have to say I've never heard of that but I have heard that sometimes while your pregnant your skin is so stretched that you can't see the stretch marks until after the baby comes out and your skin starts to go back to normal. You said your baby was stuck on your left side and that's where your stretch marks are so it would make sense that the baby could have put a lot more pressure on that side and caused the stretch marks.

It's funny you said that b/c I swear I didn't have stretch marks during this last pregnancy, but after the c-section I noticed some on my belly. My 2nd c-section was 2 weeks ago too (day before Thanksgiving), and they're still red. Hopefully they'll fade.

No. I had a c-section and only had very minor stretch marks. (they were there during the pregnancy and before the c section.) They are faded now and not noticeable. Yours will fade, too!

Yes. I was so pleased that I had no stretch marks with my first pregnancy. However, after my c-section I had some around the scar. To do a c-section, they make the incision and then stretch the skin so the doctors can work and get the baby out.

Yes! This was my first pregnancy the whole time not one mark. Then I looked at my belly after the surgery and they left a few marks around the cut :( I take it for what it is. It's better than getting them like crazy the whole time during pregnancy I used organic coconut oil and pure Shea butter. As soon as it heels (it's only been 2 weeks) I'll be putting it on to soften them

My incision is small about 3-4 inches. And I really didn't want a C had to she was frank breach for 27 weeks wouldn't turn at all head in my ribs.
Very painful pregnancy for me. I'm glad she's out happy and healthy and I live with the marks.

Be happy it's not as bad as a lot I've seen who got it the whole 9 months. Good luck to you ;)

Yes, I have horrible stretch marks on my belly after 2 c-sections. The doctor said they would fade, but they didn't. They only difference is that they are white not red. It has been 2.5 years and they look horrible. I hope yours do fade, Good Luck.
