So I have many saved up gift cards to babies r us and toys are us. I was going to use them on diapers. But I don't know if babies r us is a good value for diapers. Any opinions on that? Perhaps I'd be better off to clothes shop or christmas shop with my gift cards there. thanks.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

in the end I hit some good cyber monday deals- yes even on diapers! I had $175 worth of gift cards and purchased about 5 boxes of diapers and pull ups at about 15% off so I think that worked out. Also got a few other things, like boots and baby toys, so over all a pretty good day to use up those gift cards.

hi I haven't tried buying diaper in babies r us, but I think it'll be better if you use your gift cards with there toys and clothes that way you can save. i would suggest you buy diapers in Wal-Mart and Costco, they have cheaper diapers like pampers and huggies which are both good qualities.

I would not buy clothes at Babies R Us. Too expensive. I get diapers, wipes and baby food at diapers.com. Free next day delivery.

Not all diapers are made the same. What works for one baby doesn't necessarily work well for another baby. Pampers (Swaddlers and Cruisers NOT BabyDry) are what seem to works best for my children. I get my diapers through Amazon.com, and it is one of the cheapest options that I have found yet. You can often 'clip' a coupon on their website to save money. Sign up to be an amazon mom (free) to get a certain percentage off of diapers. Do subscribe and save to save another percentage. I currently save 20% on every order, AND it ships to my house for free.

Do some price comparisons on the different websites and see how much it is costing you per diaper. Then you will know whether or not the gift cards would be better spent on diapers or something else. I will say that my experience with Babies R Us is that their diapers are much more pricey.

If you compare prices of the same type of diapers at Babies R Us and at Target or Wal-mart, you will end up paying more at Babies R Us. They are priced higher than the other stores, I only buy there when they offer a gift card with the purchase of diapers (if you subtract the difference of what I would've paid at the other stores, there's still a profit from the GC). So, if all you need is diapers and you'd just be buying other things to use the gift card than I'd buy diapers there even though they are a bit more. If you NEED clothes or toys, I'd get those there (assuming they're a decent price). They frequently have really good sales on clothes, I've gotten my son end of season clothes for the next year for hardly anything.

I always bought diapers at babies r us. They had the biggest boxes and you can always use coupons. They also often have deals like buy two boxes of huggies and get a $10 gift card. So if you combine that with coupons, it's definitely a good deal.

Target brand diapers (up&up) are the cheapest I've found and theyre soft like pampers and do not leak. If you spend $49 or more on their website it's free shipping if you have a target red card it's %5 off everything.
