I am currently looking for a playgroup in my area or in the surrounding Wichita area. I was hoping someone could also have any information on a children's gym or gymnastics class. Any help would be great! I would love to make new friends for my children as well as myself
You might try the YMCA http://www.wichitaymca.org/ for gymnastics classes. I know they offer several, and their prices are reasonable.
I don't know if your are a christian or not, but you might try checking with your church to see if they have something to offer. I know a few of my friends get together and have a play group every other week. You might try also looking into a mom's group outside of the computer, that might help you connect with someone on one. I attend a mom's group every other Tues. I can give you the address if it helps.

I am 29 years old with a 3 year old boy and a 8 month old girl. Do you live on the Eastside or Westside? I have lived here all my life, but I recently quit my job to stay home with my kids and my work was my social life. I now do not really have many people to hand out with during the day that are my age. I go to Bible study once a week but that is about it. i would suggest Parent's as Teachers they are a wonderful resource center as well as cordinating different activites for kids from birth up to 5 years old. ###-###-####
If you live close to Maize or North West Wichita, you can enroll in the PAT groups for your kids.
I take my 3 year old daughter to the "Parents as Teacher" play group once a week. They are like an hr long. They also have music groups and once a month there is a Gym day to take your kids to. I work but I work half time right now and I take my daughter to the Friday class, the spring classes start next week.
