Why do you think a Mom's REAL question about how she can get her baby to have a bottle of expressed milk while she is away at work would be deleted? THe WHOLE post was gone?

Why am I unable to respond to posts and I'm also not able to send anyone flowers?

Am I the only one who is having this issue?

What can I do next?

The coupon ads are driving me crazy on my IPad. 90% of the post, I can not read because there is an ad banner that runs down the left side of my screen. I notified the help desk a couple of weeks ago but it is still not fixed. Ugh!!!

I have had several questions removed because the autobots didn't find something. Like one time it said it wasn't a question, yet it had a mess of questions in it. Once was because of a link. I know they were not reported because they were all some of my nicer posts.

Near as I can tell this site has some crappy algorithms. :(

Oh and the responding flower issue is common. I only get it when running IE, or in other words when I am posting from my work machine. I close the browser, clear history and it goes away.

I did not see that question. Did it just come up?

I have been noticing some quirks in the system, too. I posted a question yesterday, people responded all day, but Mamapedia sent me all the emailed response notifications at once late last night.

I've been away. What happened now?! This reporting thing is getting out of hand.

Some one must have felt that it was flaming or inappropriate. I didn't see it.

Re-start your computer, Pamela. That should clear any "hiccups" you have. if that doesn't work - contact Mamapedia.

The coupon ad is driving me crazy too. I can't see the first several questions listed & I can't read the first half of most posts. I'm starting to think this site kinda sucks .... not for the members or content, but for lay-out, ads, & management.

I thought it was my computer. Sometimes I have to refresh the page a few times to get the 'respond to question' button to work and the post button doesn't alsways work. I sometimes can't scroll the pages either. So I hit refresh the page button on my computer and clean out the cashe. It seems to work.

oh boy, my post I just put up will probably be deleted:( ...

I don't know why they do this, they did it to me once a few months ago, and they apologized a couple days later and said it was an accident...

Added - I just saw JC's post - you are so right! I can't stand to look at MP on my iPad! The ads cover up the questions - they aren't in the right place. Instead, last week while I was out of town, I used my cell phone. Ugh! And really, ladies, I don't think anyone reported the thread that was removed. It doesn't appear to have been controversial in any way. MP is probably trying to work the bugs out after adding all these ads on here.

Original:
I had an awful time with this a couple of weeks ago. I felt like MP's site was ruining my computer. Another mom wrote about not being able to send flowers - I even had trouble getting the "post" button to click so that I could write people. I think that it started from all the new ads that showed up on here.

I doubt that anyone asked for this woman's question about expressed milk to be removed, though I didn't see it and don't know what it said or if people got ugly on it. It's probably a glitch, unless she might have asked fr the thread to be removed.

Just as an aside, I got a new router and my computer seems to be feeling better. The connection is at least better.

I'm not sure what is going on but, my computer at work is driving me batty! I use this site 1st thing when I come in and I'm the only one here. I can't answer any questions or send flowers :(. I can at home and on another computer at work but...can't really play musical chairs at work ;)
I really do believe it's all of the ads on here. I get it but once it starts to effect the people who actually use the site is it really worth it? If you loose people who browse and use the site then there really isn't a need to advertise!

Mamapedia seems to be real glichy these days. I've seen several people say these things and it's happened to me many times too. I keep switching between browsers and re-booting my computer. I'll bet they are headed for a site crash.
