We just found out we are expecting our fourth child. I had my other babies in San Diego At Mary Birch for women. I have decided to go with this medical group. I have no OB here in Temecula. But have an appointment with Dr. Nerissa Safie May 11th with Crown OB???? Would love some feed back. I will be having my fourth C-section as well. If anyone has experience with that also please let me know the out come.

I had Dr. Safie for my last pregnancy, although she did not deliver me. I liked her a lot and have worked with others in the group as a birth doula and have had good experiences. Everyone I have talked to who has haf Dr. Safie has been pleased, and I am very happy to say that the "Dr. from HELL" who used to work in that group, no longer does! :-)
I haven't been to that doctor, but I have another recommendation for you if you decide you don't want to continue with that doctor or group. I go to Dr. Brian Byrne. He is wonderful and any woman in his waiting room will tell you the same thing. His office is across the street from Inland Valley Hospital. He is just such a great doctor and I know other people who have gone to him/talked to women in the waiting room who have just the best things to say about him, even in some very high risk situations. When I moved to Temecula two years ago and soon thereafter became pregnant, I did extensive research on OB's in the area since I too, had nobody. Dr. Safie has amazing credentials including a Harvard Medical Degree and experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which is not common in our region. Then I noticed she went to the same undergrad school as I did, and then it all came together....Her mother was one of my Chemistry professors at our college and used to brag about her daughter going to Harvard all the time. In fact, I had met Nerissa during a trip home while I was still in college and she was visiting her mom on campus. Needless to say, she became my OB and was fabulous every step of the way. Her bedside manner is great, on top of that. She wasn't the doc who delivered my baby, since you'll get one of the five Crown docs who is on call at that time. But as you know from experience, it's all about the nurses at that point. Tell Dr. Safie I sent you! -T. Riley
I have Dr Saffie as my OB and absolutely love her. She was my doc for my last pregnancy, but Dr Calanisan (? sp) delivered my baby. I was very happy with the care from all the doctors I saw there. As it was my first pregnancy, I had a lot of questions and was very nervous. All the doctors there took the time to listen and answer not matter how insignificant my questions were. Dr Saffie really put me at ease.
My only issue is that I had a horrible experience at Rancho Springs Hospital which is one of 2 hospitals she delivers at. I will NEVER go back to those hospitals and will make sure my next baby is delivered in San Diego.
