I bought mine at walmart.com. Can't remember the name of it but it was about $60-$65. He loved it when we put it up, he thought we were playing. It works great- my guy tried climbing out and would get his feet caught in the crib spindles. Hope this helps.

I also got the one from Tots in Mind. We love it and so does my 17-month old. He had been getting his legs stuck between the rungs back in September and was throwing out his pacifier and then crying. This thing was a life saver and well worth the money. We played a game when he first got it that we would match up our hands with me on the outside and him inside the "tent".
I too had to rig it for a convertible crib, but it works just fine!

My son also was able to climb out of his crib at 15 months. We just moved him to a twin bed and put up the side rail for about 2 months. He adapted just fine. It took a few days of him testing the waters and coming out of bed a bunch of times at nap and bedtime. I also put a sleeping bag on the floor just in case he somehow rolled off the bed at night (which he did a few times even with the bed rail on, but never got hurt, just fell asleep on the sleeping bag).

We did think about the crib tent for a bit at first. But then we figured if he was strong and smart enough to climb out of his crib and land safely on the ground, he would figure out how to either break or get out of the crib tent just as fast. After all it's only made of mesh on the top. But that's just us.

Hi,

I have been using a crib tent since my 7 month old was born and came home from the hospital. We bought the Armsreach Mini Cosleeper at www.armsreach.com and bought the matching canopy (not the netting which I think can be dangerous if it falls in and lands on the baby when you are oblivious and asleep yourself). The canopy kept our cat out of the baby's cosleeper which was crucial as she would have jumped in and cuddled (aka, smothered) him. Now our baby is bigger so we bought the Armsreach Original size cosleeper and matching canopy for the same reason but even moreso because he has learned how to climb up and potentially fall out of his cosleeper. I wish to save money we had just bought the Original Cosleeper and saved money instead but the canopy is fine. Good luck.

Tots in Mind has one. You can google it. My friend has one for her very active 2 year old and she loves it. And he doesn't seem to mind it either!

We had one for our boy, and it gave us peace of mind for months and months. I can't remember the name or brand, but it had poles and secure velcro straps, and a zipper. It got to the point as he got older that he would ask us to secure it if we turned away for something before zipping it. I don't think he was trying to get out, but I think he was jumping and fell out when he was 12 months old.
Good luck,
B.

We've been using the Tots In Mind Crib Tent II since my oldest son (now 2.5) was about your son's age. There is a cheaper one with no mesh surrounding the crib, but I like the mesh because my son was also sticking his legs through the slats of his crib to get me to come in at night. The first week I felt really bad 'zipping him up' since he'd cry but I have to say, he sleeps much better with it and I plan to continue using it until he is 3 and we move him to a 'big boy bed'. Good luck!

We bought ours at Babies R Us and I "sold" it to my twins as a cool thing because we had started playing in tents (or pretend tents with blankets) slightly before. It was the best thing I ever did. We kept them in it until 2 & 1/2.

our daughter climbed out at 15 months and we just moved her to a big girl bed with a rail on the side for the first couple of months. It worked out well and now my son who is 13 months seems to be not long for the crib with his climbing habit as well, so we'll just move him out when that time comes.
