Today has been a week since I have given birth. I am having some issues that I don't know what it could be from but I have anxiety and it isn't helping. My tongue feels like it is on fire and I don't like spicy stuff and seems dry. My eyes are dry my hands are dry(not sure if it from washing) I am getting little to no sleep. I am breast feeding. I have 2 other children to take care of. I have a 50 oz bottle that I use. I am going to the bathroom. I used a symptom thing on the computer and the 1st thing that came up was dyhration. I am not eating well since there feels no time and I have a hiatal hernia that now that I am not pregnant is starting to act up again. I don't know what to do and what it could be. Could use any suggestions Thanks.

What can I do next?

Can I recommend you call your doctor? This soon after childbirth, I don't think any of us can accurately diagnose you, nor can the internet. I know it's Saturday, but I'm sure your doctor would prefer you talk to him or her, not a bunch of uneducated strangers on the internet.
Feel better!

Dehydration. Exhaustion. You are breast feeding and must drink lots of water and eat healthy. Your body has just been through an enourmous change and fatigue. You need to replenish all you lost, vitamins, nutrients. See your Dr. immediately. You need to recharge.....physically, mentally and emotionally. It is vitally important for you and the baby. Do you not have any help? Can anyone come and either take the 2 other kids while you spend time with the baby? In laws? Husband? Parents?
Reach out to your friends and neighbors. See your Dr.

You need to see a Doctor, and for your hernia.

Why can't your Husband help you?
This is about your health.
That should be priority.

Please get something liquid in you asap, and call your doctor. You're overtired, exhausted, and you need help. Do you have a friend or family member that could come over to assist you with your other children for the rest of the weekend? You need some hydration and rest! Best of luck!

i second what angeles t said.. dehydration & exhaustion.. drink tons of water.. but definatley call your doctor just to be sure

p.s. .. although on this occasion it may very well be the correct diagnosis.. dont look up symptoms on the internet, most of the time you end up with some crazy theories as to whats wrong with you

Congratulations on your newborn!!

I'm truly sorry you are experiencing these things. The last time I was dehydrated, my tongue was like yours. Please have your husband take you to the ER for an IV drip.

When were you diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia? That Barium stuff is EEW!!!! Most times, antacids will help. I know, I know, I know...but the other option is surgery. And since the hernia is a bulging from the stomach to the diaphragm into the esophagus, antacids help.

Please ask for help/support from your family and/or church. You need to get sleep. Tell your husband that he needs to step up to the plate and help you so that you can heal and stay healthy.

I don't know what you are using a 50 ounce bottle for. So I don't know how to help you there.

If you are dehydrated, your milk supply will drop significantly. If I lived closer, i would drive up today to help you. Please go to the ER and get an IV drip to get re-hydrated and start healing!!

GOOD LUCK!!
