Considering taking a girlfriend trip to Costa Rica? Have any of you went? What were your experiences like? Did you like it? Regret it? What were some of the things that you did that were wonderful... Terrible? Anything you can't wait to go back to do again? Any health suggestions? Shots? Food issues? Personal Safety? Hotel or condo...Travelocity or travel agent? Anything you could share would be appreciated. We are meeting tomorrow to plan.... Starting from scratch. We don't know much except that it is beautiful and that sometimes it rains but it's short and not to heavy but not to let rainy season keep you from going because it's a cheaper and off season. Thank you in advance!

Magical. Do an ecotour package where you help with the beach turtles or forest conservation. Zipline as much as you can. The health system is one of the best in Latin America and people go there for medical tourism. The food is not spicy but you may get sick of the never ending beans and starch. People are very friendly and you rarely see anyone who is painfully poor even outside of the tourist areas.

Beautiful. I don't remember enough details for advice except if you really are in CA, I was too at the time and didn't think it was so great it was worth the trip. It's so long. It was nice and all so from east coast a great destination. From west coast again I didn't think it was worth it. We did a Backroads trip which was helpful with all the details etc and we got exercise. Might have been my expectations were too high.

Investigate the safety issue. A friend of ours went, said it was beautiful. However, they hired a tour guide the whole, time they were there for safety
concerns. Just do your homework.

My daughter has been twice. She loves it. I didn't hear any complaints. My guess is that she used trip advisor, as that is what she uses for any trips I take her on. She went alone once and went with a friend once. She never said anything about safety issues. She zip lined, bungy jumped, got a massage, went on some tours, there were a lot of things she did. I can't get specifics because she is out of the country. I would go.
