Corona Regional Medical Center

I delivered my daughter at Corona Regional last year. I was induced on a Monday night and delivered Tuesday afternoon naturally, and left Wednesday afternoon. The nurses and staff were very nice and professional, I have no complaints whatsoever. (except maybe the rooms are small and you have to share!).

I actually had an emergency c-section in 2007 at Corona Regional. At first I had no clue the dr sent me there because of complications. I had gone through most of the pregnancy to check his heart rate so I figured it was a routine visit again. The nurses were aware of why I was there and that I could possibly have an emergency c section but said nothing when I ate a sandwich and fries. About 30 min later the dr came in to tell me that his heart rate was really high, he was in distress and that I would be going into surgery soon. After telling her that I had just eaten she was very upset due to the fact that you can aspirate during surgery if you eat soon before. The c-section went well besides feeling extremely nauseous. Afterwards my hospital stay seemed inconvenient for the nurses and I did not feel like the cared very much. I was asked to walk down the hallway the next day but was alone and in alot of pain and not one nurse asked to help me. I am happy that my child was healthy and all went well but it wasn't a pleasant experience over all. I expected the staff to care more and be patient and I did not get that. Also being in the maternity ward I thought everyone would be happier and more eager to help but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

Funny, my family had the same situation. The ER experience was awful. However, I did deliver there 2 years ago and that experience was great. One of the post-partum nurses during the night was not my favorite, but the others were wonderful. I wish you the best and congratulations!

I have never had a baby at Corona Regional, but I have been in the ER there for myself and with my sister. I have had bad experiences both times. They misdiagnosed me and that misdiagnosis could have possibly cost me my life. My sister was in a car accident and was taken there as well. They told her she had a broken neck and required surgery. When she went to a specialist they told her her neck was not broken! I want you to have the best care possible. Maybe you should go online and do some research and look up the labor and delivery portion. See if there are any comments online. Just my opinion, but I would not feel safe in that place!

Both of my kids were born at CRMC-both in labor room #5. It's been 7 years. My second delivery was better than my first. I think the first wasn't so great because my doctor wasn't there (my second was with Dr. Iyer) and I just had an on-call dr. I never met before. I also had a bad anathesialogist the first time-don't worry-he's not there anymore. This resulted in complications after delivery but the nurses were very helpful and understanding.
The nurses in LDR and the maternity were fantastic. For both deliveries I was allowed to have many people (all the grandparents, friends, siblings) in the room up until delivery-then it was limited to 2 people. All the nurses had good attitudes and were helpful. The food was good. My husband (and daughter at delivery #2) were able to stay late, come early, didn't have to pay attention to visiting ours.. The showering facilities were nice. There are no private rooms-all doubles. However, if it is slow delivery time, you could be by yourself. After delivery #2 I also had my tubes tied so the nurses again were helpful. If there had been a #3, we would have been back there.
