There is a pasta dish that i make and i add half a bottle of white wine in the sauce and cook it down. I know that there is no longer alcohol left when i am done cooking but is it still safe to feed my 2 year old?

I would like to know before i make the dish.

Thanks!

I don't see why not. The alcohol cooks out so you don't really have to worry about her getting intoxicated. Do you think she'll like the taste? I say go for it. It won't hurt her. P.S. I don't suppose you'd like to share the recipe with the rest of us??

I went to culinary school. If we were in my restaurant I would tell you, for legal reasons, not 100% of the alcohol will cook off. As a mom I say, yes feed it to her. I make a Firecracker Shrimp that uses tequila and I feed that to my kids. At least the pasta with the sauce, they don't like shrimp.

Absolutely, the alcohol burns off when you cook it so it is absolutely fine to feed your 2 year old safely.

Yes, since the alcohol cooks out of the dish it is safe. I have made a few dishes in the past and my three have been fine, (they are 5, 3 and 2 years old). All it is at that point is flavoring.
