Before my first child I used the patch with no problems at all. I loved it. However, I didn't go back on it because of all the lawsuits and possible side effects. I tried several pills including Yaz (it was the worst) but they all gave me horrible side effects I was not willing to live with. I'm considering the Nuva ring, haven't used it yet though. It's the same hormones as birthcontrol pills but absorbed vaginally. You replace it once each months, take out the start your period and put a new one in a few days later.

Try another pill if you are that concerned. There are plenty of them out there, so you should be able to find one that you like!
