OK, so clearly I waited until the last minute on this one, but I am considering trying to put together a quick class gift for my girls to pass out to their classmates at school tomorrow. I have not really done this before..well once, with candy, but I did too much!) I have 2 in school, so I am looking for some ideas on little gifts for each of them..without spending a ton of money. (Or requiring lots of time, since I am doing it today!) I just dont want them to feel odd that they dont have a gift, it seems like I have seen/heard of several moms doing this. Should I even worry about it? And, of course, any and all suggestions for gift ideas are welcome! Thanks mama's!!
***BTW, my girls are in Kindergarten and 3rd grade...thanks for the ideas so far:)

What can I do next?

Well I have two kids and I bought teacher gifts as well so I bought Christmas pencils and a candy cane for each kid. We used curling ribbon to tie them together and each year my daughter takes this cute little candy bag to pass them out to friends.. Pencils may be hard to come by today after work so you better hurry if you use this idea. I always go for things I know they will use and my kids are always looking for a pencil.

Wow, you are a busy mama! Congrats. I just have 1 almost 14yr old girl that keeps me on a constant go, go go.

Are you talking about a little gift for each child in each of your daughter's classes?

If so, how about a little treat bag. US Toy at Independence/Parker in Plano has bulk "stuff" for treat bags. It is similar to Oriental Trading products. You could probably get something relatively inexpensive because you buy it in bulk quantities.

My 8th grade daughter only gives to her closest friends. This year Victoria's secret has a gift pack of 5 lotions for $10. We bought a couple of those and each girl gets a little bottle of lotion.

Happy Holidays!

Hey, A....from one last minute shopper to another, Happy Holidays! You didn't say how old your daughters are, but this is something my daughter (who is now 33) used to do for her classmates; we would go to the dollar store and buy those packages of party favors (like little yo-yo's, whistles, bubble bottles, etc.) and we would make up little gift bags. They also have the party favors at Wal-Mart in their greeting card aisle. We used those little party favor bags you can get, usually at the dollar store. I was in Target last night and they had these little gift bags in their wrapping department - there were 20 in the package for $1.99 and they looked like little miniature Santa bags. You would need to have curling ribbon to tie the tops closed, but I think they would be perfect to hold a little gift or two and some candy for each child. At any rate, that's my idea for younger ones. If they're older, I like the idea of the lotions, but you could also get those at Wal-Mart in their sample bins for about $.59 to $.99 each. You could get packages of lip balms for older girls and put one in each bag, along with a lotion and some candy. I hope some of these suggestions help you! Your girls would probably also enjoy putting together the gift bags, so you don't have to do it all by yourself. I hope you have the Merriest Christmas and a truly Blessed New Year! God Bless you and yours! S.

I would say go to Party City and pick up some little bags with some party favors. I'm sure they have some christmas ones right now.

Ulta also has 5 gifts for $5. This includes lotions, lipglosses, fingernail polish, etc. I used this for stocking stuffers. Good luck.
