We're wanting to go look at Christmas lights but don't want to venture too far. Does anyone have suggestions as to what neighborhoods have the best lights in the Flower Mound/Lewisville/Highland Village area? Thanks!
Krystal

Hi Krystal

M. from Lamb of God. I took my Brownie Troop out Friday night to look at Christmas lights. I know of one house that is spectaular! It is very close to the 2499/3040 intersection. Are you familiar with McKamy Creek/Flower Mound Rd(aka 3040)and Old Settlers Rd./Flower Mound Rd. The neighborhood is between those two intersections. If you are going West on Flower Mound Rd. from Long Prairie (2499), turn right. Go thru the light at McKamy Creek. Turn right at next street, which is Starleaf Place. The house is to your right at the corner of Starleaf Pl. and Birch Leaf Place. The couple that own the home are often out in the evenings playing Santa and Mrs. Claus and giving treats to the children who drive by. They have really put a lot of time and energy into their property. What a blessing to our community. There are also a lot of pretty lights in the Woodlake Estates off 2499. Pond Wood Dr. is a great street in that neighborhood, if my memory serves me??? Merry Christams! Enjoy!

There is an amazing tree on Shiloh between 407 and 1171. I posted a picture of it on my blog at http://junecleavernirvana.blogspot.com/2007/12/moment-of-... awhile back if you want to make sure it is worth the trip!
