Car Rentals?

When you call around, ask if they accpet any discounts,...maybe you work for a company or have insurance that has a discount. Call around...you may get cheaper than you are finding on the internet.

One more thing...usually if you add a 2nd driver it adds more to the price. This happend to us in Florida in March.

I always save money going through entertainment.com. Of course, you need to have a book, but I think they are selling them now for around $10, and it maybe worth buying the book to get the deals. I buy the book strictly for the car and hotel deals. I always find going through National or Alamo you get a better rate. Some car rental places charge more if you are getting it through the airport so try to find a place that is not at an airport. I always seem to pay airport fees on top of the car rental fee.

You need to call. Ask if they have special weekly rates. I just rented a car for one day and they had a notice up for a special rate for week long rentals. Sometimes they have them without advertising since most rentals are weekend or only a few days during the week. Make sure you tell them it will be multistate.

Weekly rates are usually cheaper than daily.

priceline.com has a bid option where you choose your own price and put in your credit card info. If price accepted you are then told what car company you got. If you don't really care what car rental place this might work for you.

I did priceline and cut the price of mine in half.

When I rent a car I typically go thru Travelocity/Orbitz etc and get a hotel/car package for less. Have you tried that yet?
