I was looking for input. I want to know if anyone thinks I will be able to handle another online class in September after our baby is born in June. She will be three months old. This is our first child and I wanted realistic advice from those who have been there. Will I be functioning enough to take another class??

What can I do next?

YES you can! Trust me, taking an online course with a 3mnth old is SO much easier than a 3 yr old! : )
She'll be sleeping so much throughout the day so you should have plenty of time to finish that class before she really starts needing your time and attention.
Good luck to you and good for you for wanting to better your education!

after my son was born last year in feb, I went back to school in may...for me it was a lot b/c of the constant nursing and constant care needed. but I agree when it comes to schedule. if you can actually get a good routine goin you should be able to handle it. For me, I had a c-section, so my recovery was longer than others who had a natural birth. It also helps to know who will be there to help you out. My husband was working 7 days a week, so I was home a lot by myself without any help. hope this helps :)

Hi A.,

Yes you can do it. I am working full time, taking an online class that has a lab that I have to go to on Fridays (so I work a 40 hour week Mon-Thurs) and have a 7 month old daughter. It's tough and it's draining, but I'm doing it and still find time to play with my daughter every night and do everything I did for her before I started taking the class. And yes, it's still possible to make a good grade in the class as well, I'm making an A.

Good luck and you can do anything you set your mind to.

Hi A.,
It seems like your living in the fog for the first two months with your first! Really. But I would think that it would be a good time to get yourself back in the game by three months.
By then you should have a pretty good idea of what your day and night looks like. I really would suggest putting her on a feeding schedule. It helped me alot with my two boys!! I do realize that some people like feeding by demand and that it works for them but it sure does help when scheduling your day out. :)
I used the book Babywise for both of my boys. I didn't agree with all of what it had to say but I got the idea of how to get them to sleep/eat on a schedule. Both where sleeping through the night by 7 weeks old. That's sweet stuff.
Congrats to you and husband on your little girl!

Of course you can!!!!! The good thing about online classes is that you can do them on YOUR time--which in this case will be on HER time! :) How sweet! I am prego with a little girl right now too----due in May---but back to your question--you can do anything you want. Babies adjust very easily and at three months, she'll be laying in the floor playing, swinging, sorta self-entertaining. And the great thing is you will be in your own home to where you can stop and tend to her and come back to it. Go for it and good Luck!!!
