Breast Size During Breastfeeding

I have 2 questions (FYI - I have been breastfeeding for 6 months and hope to go as long as I can:
1st - I have read that breast size goes down after breastfeeding. Based on experience can anyone tell me if this is true. I was a D before pregnancy and a DD now. I am very petite so going down in size would actually be great!

2nd - one of my boobs is a lot droopier than the other. I know it is because I feed from it more because it gives me more milk. Once I stop breastfeeding will this correct itself

What can I do next?

Oh, the pains & joys of breastfeeding. Before pregnancy with my first son, I was a 34 D, and went to an very full F during pregnancy & breastfeeding. After breastfeeding I went down to a large C, but they felt "deflated." There was lots of excess skin & they felt like what many refer to as "flat pancakes."
Now, being pregnant again, they're back up to a D, it's nice for the time being, but I know saggy pancakes are in my future :(

Yes my boobs are definitely smaller after breastfeeding. Not so great for me since I was an A-cup BEFORE breastfeeding four kids. I wish I could keep my big breastfeeding boobs forever. Your breasts will never be the same but the children are well worth it!

I can answer the second question because I was lopsided after my second son stopped nursing. The lopsided-ness didn't go away. Now that i have my third child, I am working on fixing the problem--compensate by over-nursing on the opposite side! Remember, the reason one side gives more milk is because you are using it more. The more you nurse on that side, the fuller that side gets, and so on. What you need to do while you are still nursing is to start using the weaker side more. Use that side first and let your little guy hang on to that side as long as possible. The other side will leak and flow for a while but eventually you can train your body to "fill up" the other side. We do this because one arm is stronger than the other or something & we just get used to using the same side. We are supposed to be balancing it out by switching the "start" side each time. Now that you have taught your body to keep one side fuller, you have to compensate it by over-using the other side..... By the way, it is working for me. My baby was 3 months old today & my boobs have evened out now (it had been 3 years since I stopped nursing my son!).

I had two kids and had nice boobs before and now they are gone-they will not go back to normal. And it is not all due to breasfeeding-remember pregnancy has alot to do with it as well. I breastfed my first and not my second and my boobs are not like they use to be. They lost their size and they droop, but like the other woman put it-the kids are well worth it-although I would love my old boobs back-it's part of life. :) L.

I had one that was bigger than the other. I hate to tell you this, but it's still the case for me and I've been done breastfeeding for over a year. I was hoping they'd go back to normal, but nope. My overall size stayed the same.
