I've used it and it does work. My milk issues were more than this herb could handle but I tried it. The only issue is that it will make you smell like maple syrup...

In my experience the fenugreek alone did not help much, you have to take it with blessed thistle. The mother's milk tea worked really well for me, it tastes a bit like licorice so i had to add sweetner and drink while it was hot. I have also heard that alf-alfa pills will help. Good Luck and yea for Breast Feeding!

Yes, I used Fenugreek and it did work great! I went back to work and over time my milk production began to reduce. My pediatrician here in South Austin recommended it--I had to go back to breast pads, etc, because I would leak often. That's how good it worked for me!

Yes! I used it with both of my babies and it worked very well. Makes you smell like maple syrup though.

I am breastfeeding my baby and used it when my milk was running low due to being a working mom and pumping. It did increce my supply by about 1 1/2 ounces. However one container of Fenugreek lasted only three weeks since you have to take 3 pills 3 times a day. I choose to not take anymore after three weeks and my milk production continued to be the same.

I used the Mother's Milk tea which has it in it and it seemed to produce results. The best method if you want to up your milk supply however is to feed as much as possible, and drink water like crazy.
Also I noticed when my milk would start to go down if I ate two or three meals with a higher calorie content (healthy calories, not fries and chips) that my milk supply would soar.
Another way I found to boost it was to eat some ice cream. I'm not joking, it works like magic when combined with drinking lots of water! :)

I tried all of hose herbs and supplements. Mothers Milk distance agree with my daughter and made her spit up alot so I stopped that after a few days. After not having too much luck I talked to my obgyn and got a prescription called domperidone when my daughter was 6 weeks. I took it until I stopped nursing and it worked wonders!!!!! My supply doubled in a matter of days. Feel free to message me if you have any questions! :)

Fenugreek works great. All natural and effective. You will know it is working when you start to smell sort of like syrup. It will make you very thirsty and you will need to drink lots more water than normal. I was taking 2 pills 3 times per day. After a week or so I was getting 6 ounces at each pump whcih was up from 4 ounces. I would say it worked!!!

Yes, I have used Mother's Milk. Be forewarned, it will make you smell a bit like maple syrup, but does help. I had issues with my milk supply dropping drastically around the time of my period each month (once it started up again). The lactation consultant I saw suggested that I take calcium with magnesium every day, and as long as I did so, that really helped. What kind of supply issues are you having? How old is your little one? Have you tried pumping at all to help your body think there is an increased demand for milk?
There is a great book I found called Making More Milk. You can find it on Amazon, or maybe at your library, or borrow it from your local LLL group. It has a lot of info to help in this area.

Good luck to you, Mama! And congrats on choosing to breastfeed your baby!

I started taking the fenugreek and drinking the mother's milk tea while in the hospital with my twins and had ample supply by the time we left at 2 days old. I continued to drink it and exclusively breastfed until they were 6 weeks old. I then went to 1/2 time BF due to some health issues, but still when I was wanting to breastfeed more, I could just start them back up and it would increase my supply. I have also heard that oatmeal, lots of it, in any form (cookies included) is good for supply (they rave about the effects of oatmeal in the twin BF forum I belong to).

I used Fenugreek, Blessed Thistle and mother's milk tea. All of this helped me increase supply for twins. Even if you used Fenugreek by itself, it worked but took longer than if I combined all of it.

I got all of this at Vitacost.com and their shipping is 4.99. I would order a 3 month supply and then see if I wanted to continue nursing and pumping.
