Bottle Water or Boil Water for Bottles

I was wondering if it was safe to boil the water for my baby's bottle or do I need to buy the jug nursery water? What about a Brita Water pitcher? It just seems too expensive buying those jugs(I did that with my 1st)

What can I do next?

I would buy a Brita pitcher or just use water from the fridge. Bottle water is not regulated like tap water, but bottled water usually taste better, tap water is safer though. Also bottled water has more chemicals from the cheap plastic bottles.

I just use the filtered water out of the fridge. If we are out and about I just take a bottle of water (like one you drink) I never did buy the "nursery" water jugs.

actually boiling water, if not done correctly can make it worse, and most bottled water isn't any better than what you get from the tap. If you are worried, buy a filter pitcher, but unless you have well water you can save your money.

tap water, they will need the flouride. it is a complete waste of money to buy the water in the jug. we did for several months with our first until every medical person under the sun told us to stop. a couple of our oldest's top teeth have some issues due to the lack of flouride, and trust me we brush his teeth like crazy.

tap water.. warm from the tap. bottled water is not safe for babies. tap water is safer as there are many more tests performed.

there is no reason to boil water for babies unless you live in a country with unsafe water.. like mexico.

Tap water -- right out of the tap.
You can boil it if you want, but tap water is fine.

I only boiled my water for the first 2 months--after that, I just used the filtered fridge water until about 6 mos, and now I'm just using regular old tap water. My kids are very healthy--no allergies, no chronic ear infections, etc. As long as you have water from a municipality (meaning, not well water), you should be fine to use the water that flows through the pipes in your home.

I used tap water and so did everyone I know. If you have odd water then by all means go to Walmart and buy either distilled or nursery water. The distilled is the purest but the nursery water has a tiny bit of fluoride added to it.

We use warm tap water at home and bottled water (Deer Park, usually) when away from the house ... just to make sure he doesn't have any problems.
