Books on Puberity for Boys

Son is 10 and has lots of questions about his body changing. I've been to one of the major book stores looking at their books for puberty and the information was really advanced and probably more than what is needed at this time. Anyone know of another book for young boys or where I can get some information.

I also bought The Boy's Body Book, which is what the link below is linked to. I bought it for my 8yo son, and he isn't quite ready for it. It looks like a good book, though, and I plan to give it to him to use as a reference when he's ready. He's a big reader, and I think he will find it comforting to have a book to use as a reference. It will be in addition to conversations we have, not in place of those conversations.

Check out the book, though. I think it may be what you're looking for. Good luck! :)

My mom got me the book called "What's Happening To Me?"
It has information for both girls and boys, though, so if you don't want him seeing what happens to girls as well, then it's not for you.

Just looking that up on amazon.com I found a pretty long list of similar books for just boys. Check it out. I like to look up the names and authors of books online at places like amazon and then go check them out of the library, that way you're not out any money if the book ends up not being what you expected.

Whether you are christian or not, the Berean Book Store has a series for both boys and girls and they are by age group. I think they start as young as 3. I bought some for both my son and daughter. Good luck!

I might add the What"s Going On Down There? and the What's Happening to Me books. I bought the latter one for my kids and they both were able to understand it.

Just because it has both does not mean you should just show one side of the fence about body changes. It will help the boy understand why and how a girl changes and vice versa.

Good luck. Keep the communication lines open and above all else be honest. If you don't know something tell him but you will look it up and get back to him.

We got this version for my son when growing up. "What's Happening to My Body? Book for Boys : A Growing Up Guide for Parents and Sons"

For my daughter we got the girl version. They really did help.
I highly recommend these books.
