Bladder Issues

Does anyone know what this could mean? At night, and only at night, when I am trying to sleep, I keep feeling like I have to urinate. It is a slight burning feeling, but really feels just like the urge to go. So I get up and sometimes there are a few drops when I go , but usually nothing. Changing postitions sometimes help, but it is really annoying. I don't know why it is only at night and it doesn't burn or hurt when I do have to go to the bathroom. It doesn't feel like a UTI or infection and I don't want to go to the docter if it is nothing. OK thanks!

What can I do next?

You might want to try Multipollen by Premier Research labs in Round Rock, Texas.

Dr. Marshall of PRL has a radio show and I've heard him recommend multipollen for this condition.

Good luck.

I knew I had a UTI as soon as I felt like I had to go to the bathroom but only a few drops came out. It took a day of doing that before it started burning, and even then it wasn't that bad. My doc confirmed that it was a UTI.

I have had several bladder infections, and that sounds exactly like what it is. I usually take some AZO tabs if it feels like one is coming on, and continue to drink lots of water. This seems to have worked for me.

Go to the doctor....I had that happen for three months. Some days it would feel just fine and other days it would be an increase in frequency, so I kept thinking it was nothing. After 3 months I went into terrible back pains, fever, nausea and felt awful. It was an infection, but I really had no symptoms that seemed to require a doctors visit until it was a full blown problem. I have had bladder infections in the past and it wasn't like that. It turned into a kidney infection after waiting sooooo long to go. My advice to you would be GO before it gets worse.

Mom to 5 wonderful kiddos!! :)

Get to a doctor ASAP before this gets to your kidneys. It most likely did start as a UTI that you didn't notice, and now has become a bladdar infection. Anytime you have burning or pain in that area, it is something, so don't waste time having it checked out.

I had the same thing with a UTI. Sometimes I can get away without going to the doctor by drinking cranberry juice and lots of water. Stay away from caffeine. If it lasts more than a few days, I'd make an appt. I had the same symptom in the first trimester of my last preganancy also...is there a chance you could be pregnant? Hope you feel better.

Sounds like a bladder infection. i have had them all my life, they describe them as a urgency feeling. You most likely will have to get antibiotics. Try AZO standards from any local drugstore to help with the uncomfortable feeling till you can get to the DR.

These other ladies are probably right. However, I had a similar situation in the past. I felt like I had to go all the time. I didn't have any other symptoms, though. My doctor told me it could possibly be from drinking too many acidic drinks such as soda, coffee, tea, orange juice, etc. Since that is what I drink most of the time, it made sense. You could try drinking a lot of water and cranberry juice, as one lady suggested, and see if that helps. It definitely can't hurt!

Yes, do go to your doctor, asap! Just a few weeks ago I was feeling like I still needed to urinate after I had just been to the potty. Turns out I had my first UTI! I never had any other symptoms. I ended up needing two rounds of antibiotics to get over it (it was a bad one), so go to your doc.!

I used to have something similar. I would go to the doctor's office and just take a urine sample to the lab to see if I had an ifection before making an appointment because I did not have insurance. You can have the onset of an infection without the burning. The nurse got to where she would call me and ask what I was doing but if I did not have a infection, I would cut out all caffiene, no sodas, drink more wate and cranberry juice. After a few days, everthing was better. The urge to to and not much urine is your signal something is not right. Try it. Drink more water to flush your kidneys.

As a victom of many bladder infections, I can tell you that burning or no-burning, that's probably what you have. What you can do without an antibiotic is cut out carbonation and drink Cranberry juice. If symptoms continue, go to the doc and get a prescription. Lots of water is good too.
Good luck,

Like everyone says on here drink plenty of water every day. Could be a UTI. Lots of cranberry juice or a cranberry supplement will help. The AZO tabs help but are not a cure. I would see the doctor if it keeps up. Even plenty of yogurt or acidophilus pill every day. Acidophilus helps the digestive system and is good for yeast infections too. I used to get yeast infections with my IUD. When I peed it felt like that too. Could be anything. But those are good home remedies: plenty of water, cranberry, acidophilus or yogurt.

I would try drinking only water for a few days (its healthier anyway) and getting some unsweetened cranberry juice, they have it natural food stores. Its very bitter but works its best in the natural state and not with all the sugar that other kind have, take it in the morning when you have not eaten anything.
