I have done personalized invites for years and the best place (offering and service) is at Paper Lion in McKinney. There are THOUSANDS to chose from and they are organized by category, i.e., girl bday, boy bday, holiday, tea, baptism, etc. They are just awesome. I live in NE Richardson (George Bush & Renner area) and make the drive. Its so worth it. There is also Paperie in Firewheel Town Center. They are good too but don't have the offering and selection. Paper Lion does all of my personal stationary for myself, my children and family. Again, so awesome! They are right off of 75 and Virginia Parkway. Good luck!

I just had my daughter's 1st birthday and I actually found an incredible online service that did a fantastic design:

http://www.funandsassydesigns.com/

They have so many to choose from and once I decided what I wanted I was able to work with the artist that designed it and changed the colors to fit what I wanted.

They are wonderful to work with and I was very happy. I did not have the time to go to a shop so this worked perfectly for my busy schedule.

Good luck!

At $4 a gallon, online is the way to go! :) I have also used vistaprint, and it is great!

Also try http://www.partycat.com/. They are out of Austin and make the online process very easy - you get to see a proof before they go final. I have done several shower invitations this way. I also did my daughter's one year invites and they turned out great!

I read about these web sites in a Consumer Reports mag called "ShopSmart;)," just the other day. CR rated them well on service, but didn't test their products. Still, it may be a good place to start.

I have had really good luck in the past with Vista Print. They are online, have templates, but I rarely follow their guidelines and put my own copy in to suit my needs. They are also inexpensive and ship fairly quickly.

Needle in a Haystack on Preson Road, just south of Lovers Lane, on the west side of the road. Great shop -- floor to ceiling inviations. You can print yourself or they can do it for you.

I always order them online. I wish I could remember all the websites (announcingit.com)...Just search "kid's or children's birthday invitations" They have every theme imaginable! Last year I had the most adorable invitation for my daughter's 2nd b-day with her picture on it. I've also ordered them through e-bay. I hope this helps!

There are tons of great websites that you can order custom invites from. Saves time & really easy. One of my favorite sites is TinyPrints.com. I've ordered birth & baptism announcements and also 1st bday party invitations from them. Just google "birthday invitations" and you'll get lots of resources.

I think the Party Place in Preston Center (the group of shops generally at Preston and Northwest Hwy) does this. The shop itself is on the street parallel to Preston around the corner from Starbucks (I don't remember the street's name). Not real close to Garland, but closer than Oak Cliff.

Hi Nohemi,
I usually do the invitations myself. I put them in a 4X6 format and have them printed like pictures in Walgreens. If you have any questions about it or how I do it email me privately. I can email you some invitations I have done.
