I am looking for suggestions on places to have my son's 7th birthday party. I don't want to spend a ton of money but I want him and his friends to enjoy themselves. I looked in to Chuck E Cheese and it was very expensive. I also looked at Pump It Up and they are pretty resonable. He will have about 10 kids plus himself. Any suggestions.

We're planning my daughters next birthday party at Park Tavern, bowling alley-not too bad-each kid gets to pick out their own meal and they get 1 hour of bowling for 11.71 per kid-including tax. You only pay for the kids that show up and there is no minimum # of kids. I'm looking forward to it and not having to pick-up after a house full of kids! More information on the birthday parties can be found on their website at www.parktavern.net

Good luck!

Hi I am currently throwing a party for my son who will be 11 at Grand Slam. I dont know if you know anything about them but for 8 kids it ran about 115.00 after tax. That includes 3 hours unlimited use of the mini golf, the bumber cars and the laser tag. They also get a slice of pizza and a drink included plus a few other amenities. You do need to reserve in advance but I found it easy to do. They have 2 locations to chose from.

We went bowling for my daughters last birthday party. We went to Southtown bowl in bloomington and the cost was very reasonable. I belive it was about 12.00 a kid and you got, pizza, drink, bowling, invitations, and goodie bags ( I had to fill them). For as much as we spent in the past just having parties at our house, where I had to make all the food, feed family and friends, and decorate, the money we spent for the bowling party was nothing.

I had my sons bday party at Lifetime Fitness. It is an hour of age appropriate games in the gym, an hour of pizza drinks opening presents (they supply the food and drinks- you supply the paper goods & cake) then an hour of swimming. You dont have to be a member--but it is cheaper if you are. It was reasonably priced and they do all they work for you!

I saw you live in Burnsville, so it isnt to far, you could check into the Eagan Community Center, they have the BLAST area for the kids and have seperate party rooms for the eating, etc. Not sure how much it costs, but might be a good idea.
Kind of cheesy maybe, but how about a McDonalds Playland...not sure if kids at the age of 7 are still into that, just an idea.
