I was wondering where the best places to go/things to do were in Tallahassee with my baby and/or as a family. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

One great thing i've found about Tallahassee is the multitude of parks- Lake Ella is my son's favorite, because I put him in the stroller and we walk round the lake and watch the ducks.

When she's a few months older (crawling at least), there's a great place in Market Square (Off Timberlane) called Baby Power, which has baby play on Monday and Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings for $5 a pop.

The main library downtown has a great baby time. It is on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Tuesday the have pre wlakers
and after that another baby time. On Wednesday they have regular baby time. It is a lot of fun.

I used to take Lily to the malls and other stores. It doesn't take much to keep them entertained at that age.

When she gets older there are tone of museums and parks you can take her to. Check out the City of Tallahassee's website to see what all goes on in this town.

PS Springtime Tallahassee is on March 29th this year.

Baby Power, Tallahassee Museum and Lake Ella are our favorites. Or course, the first two will get better as your daughter gets a bit older. There is a great breast feeding support group on 6th street near TMH and the moms and babies spend some good "floor time" together there as well. I don't remember the name of the place but if you are coming down sixth from Monroe St. toward the hospital, it is on the right just before you get to the hospital. You could get information by calling TMH and asking for the maternity ward also as I'm pretty sure they are affiliated somehow or at least know about them.

When your child gets older, check out the Painted Pony (they are online) for a Birthday Party. My son is four and we just had his party there. It was by far the best Birthday yet!
