Working mom of a 3 1/2 year old and 1 1/2 year old! You would think they'd keep me busy enough to lose my baby fat, but apparently I need more! I'm looking for a way to get a work out at home without running to the gym, etc. Thanks!

So What Happened?

Wow! It seems like most people love it! Maybe we will give it a try :) My parents have Wii and my 3 year old loves to "bowl" with Papa, so it might be worth the purchase. I do enjoy a variety of working out, and I try to use our small workout room at work, it just doesn't always work, so I think having this at home, will help. Thanks everyone!

We got one last year for Christmas. I work and go to school outside the home so havent been on it as much as I would like but it was a good investment because atleast the kids are jumping around some and not just sitting exercising their fingers.

I think the Wii Fit is great. However, it's just like my trips to Curves or any other exercise regimen, for that matter: the hardest part is starting. Once I'm at Curves or on the Wii Fit, the rest is easy because it's fun. The key is keeping up the discipline to do it. My goal is Curves three times a week and Wii Fit the other two week days and one weekend day. Wii Fit is great because it keeps you motivated, "talking" to you and encouraging you. There is enough variety of activity that you won't be bored including yoga and balance games, which at my age are important.

We have one and like it a lot. The problem here has been finding the time to use it this fall. My mom has been in the hospital and rehab for the past 2 months, so there isn't much free time these days.

Good luck.

All I know is my daughter who is 28 LOVES it!!! She got me to try the hula hoop thing and it's fun and it really gives you a workout. The kids, 5 and 14 months love to watch her doing it.........they really got a kick out of Grandma doing it!

I actually find the Wii fit rather boring - I have worked out for years and it is just not challenging at all. The EA Games "Wii Active" is a much more results-oriented program and can be an awesome workout. I am going to try Jillian Michael's Wii game - her regular workout tapes are pretty good.

Yes the Wii Fit is a really good work out and u dont have to worry about trying to find a baby sitter or pay for a gym membership. My sister and mom both have 1 and even the kids play on it. The youngest grandchild is 7! They have things to work on every area of the body and like you said it is on sale right now....Good Luck to you!

L.,

LOVE IT! My husband and I like to take turns on it once our son is down for the night, so it's kind of like we are playing while still getting some movement for our bodies. If you're doing it regularly, you will definitely notice a difference. Have fun!

I lost all my baby fat using Wii Fit. It works if you are consistent.

Hi L.,
My daughter has a wii-fit. She's in college. She used it for awhile and then had more success going to her gym to group exercise classes.
Being a yoga teacher, I have been curious about wii-fit. Some of my students love it and some of them don't. The primary feedback I am getting is that students like to have variety in their workouts and be with a group of people working out.
I do suggest that you include yoga as part of your workout as it builds body awareness.
