EVERYONE has an opinion about names or has an association... but since you're asking, given you aren't asking about Maxwell, Maximillion, Leopold, Leon, Leonard you must be thinking of just the above shorter verisons.

Max: I really like the name. It's strong. However, I dated one so I couldn't do it, and in my daughter's school there are two in the same class, so for me it's too popular. If you're cool with the popularity, then I like this name the best.

Leo: That's my sign in the Zodiac (although I don't really follow such). There's a children's television show "Calliou" and he's a whiney kid. His best friend is Leo.

Noah: Good friend's nearly named thier child Noah, until they the started joiking around, "do you know - a [fill in the blank]". Kinda silly, but they ended up naming their little boy Eli (Elijah).

I LOVE MAX!!!! Thats what my dd would have been called if she had been a boy. :-)

Leo is getting quite popular, I like it but don't love it.

I do love biblical names but not because they are biblical. I just like them. In our family we have a - Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Joseph and a Caleb and we are not overly religious.

Noah is very cute - Its a tie between Max & Noah. :-)

Noah for sure. it is a strong yet soft name. Biblical of course too. Never liked Max or Leo except on Leonardo DiCaprio. ;o) No reason, just think they are too short maybe. congrats!

Leo! lol. Not only do I like the sound of it... but when I hear Max, I think of a dog. When I hear Noah, I think Noah's ark.

If you wanted, you could even name him Leonard so he has a 'proffesional' grown-up name, and he can just go by Leo.

Every other dog in my neighborhood is named Max, so I personally wouldn't pick that! I have 2 Leos in my family ( my uncle and his son) and the younger one was called "Little Leo" well into his 60's, which was of course ridiculous. Of the three, I like Noah the best - it makes me think of someone sensitive and artistic. Good luck!

Noah is too popular, I like Leo but better for a dark haired bit, and I do like max. A lot of it depends on the middle and last names too.

I prefer Noah - but would need to know the middle and last name to get a better feel for it.

I like Noah because it says to me "strength and perseverance"...

Max - I like - but not "love". I also know a couple of dogs named Max.

Leo - reminds me of Leonardo Di Caprio....and a lion.

I like Noah too, not sure why, just do. I would have to pick Leo next, I like that too. For some reason, Max just seems like a dogs name. (Sorry)

And yes, Im aware that everyone names their dog Molly. ;)

It depends on if you don't mind the name being really popular. Max and Noah are VERY popular right now and for the past few years. Leo, is my personal favorite...and the least popular of the three.

I didn't read the other posts, but I like Max the best. The other two aren't as strong sounding to me. I like strong names that would carry into their adult lives.

I like Max, but I need at least two sylable words. Max come here sounds harsh and stillted for me. Plus you have Mad Max and the Max in where the wild things are. This would be the name for a wild child.

Leo, nope. It's a zodiac sign not a name. My daughter is a Leo. It would be confusing in this house.

Noah? I don't usually go for Christian bible names, but I like this one. Somebody who believed he was helping and doing right and was going to do it no matter how much ridicule he took for it. The couple of Noah's I have met are the quite shy types though. Just as an FYI.

1. Noah - good, strong name, biblical connection - I mean, really, the guy built an Ark!! I think it flows off the tongue well also.

2. Leo - astrological sign, Aslan from Chronicles of Narnia (he is uber cool), king of the jungle, proud, beautiful animal

3. Max - well my sister just named her new kitty Max. So I envision grey fur and whiskers.
