I am considering getting involved with a class or group of some sort that both myself and my 14 month old daughter can participate in. Does anyone have any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Have you a public library near you? I go to the weekly storytime at Southfield public library. They last about 45 minutes and they are on tues, Weds and Thurs depending on your childs' age. They consist or stories told by the librarian, songs (with actions) that everyone joins in and then there is toy time for the lapsit and toddler sessions. I found the format works out great for the age groups because of tehir attention span.
It is also a good way of meeting other moms with kids the same age as you.
A lot of libraries do similar things and they are usually free too, which is a bonus.

Hi, I didn't see this one either. Lifetime fitness has a tornado toddlers class that is pretty cute. My son loved the special time together. or what about a baby swim class. You get to spend quality fun time together and they begin to learn a skill.

Hi J., I got your other message about not getting messages so i came and looked, and I never received this one. Hope it's not too late to respond...

You can check out momsclub.org for a chapter in your area, if you don't see one in your town, you can email the national and they will hook you up.

In Fenton, there is a mommy and me yoga class at Dibbleville Yoga, in downtown. There is Jumpnplay in Fenton. The Sounthern Lakes Parks and Recreation offers a ton of options like gymnastics. You can check with your local Community ed program (call the schools if you don't know where to go or can't find a contact number) and they will probably have a SKIP program, these offers playgroups, and gross motors skills classes and lots of other opportunities and the best part is skip is free.

I may have other ideas if you know what you are looking for, send me a line if you want more specific info.
