I'm looking for a good Mommy and Baby activity in Westchester (near Pleasantville)for me and my 3 month old. I found a yoga class at Destination Maternity in Whit Plains. Has anyone tried this class? Does anyone know of any other good classes? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for your suggestions. I have been taking Mommy and Baby Yoga at Destination Maternity for a while now and love it. I also signed up for an Over the Moon Music class that's great.

I live in Pleasantville and have been doing the Music Together classes with my 10 month old daughter. Here is the website. Fall enrollment will start within a week or so.

Also have heard good things about Jodi's Gym in Mount Kisco.

I've heard Pace University has Mommy and Me swimming. Plus heard Pleasantville Library has a reading program.

Hope that helps.

I joined an exercise program called Stroller Strides, and I love it. I have an 18 month old and a 3 month old, and we usually go 3 to 5 times a week. It is held outside at the dam in Valhalla MWF and in Briarcliff on TTh. The cost is very reasonable (you can pay per class, for 10 classes, or buy the monthly membership). The kids stay in the stroller while you are exercising, but you're constantly moving (and we do some singing, too!) so the kids stay amused. It's also great to get out of the house and socialize with other moms!! Both locations have playgrounds too, so afterwards you can stsy and hang out (when your baby is a little older). Every once in a while they have an expert come in after class to talk about things likeleeping, feeding, etc and have events at night oe on the weekends, some of which are just for moms. I just love it! You can check out the meetup site. It is: http://moms.meetup.com/2723/

Check the local libraries for free activities for all ages. In summer, there's not as much, but when the school year starts, most of the local libraries offer storytimes for even infants. Also, the local community centers often offer Mommy and Me classes that are very inexpensive (I know Chappaqua offers many classes at the library and the community center).

Hi A.,

I absolutely love JW Tumbles. It is in Rye Brook in the Rye Ridge Shopping center. We signed up in March and have been going ever since. My daughter loves it. When they are younger you participate with them (it is fun) and I think after 3 years old then they are on their own in the class. The place is very clean as well and I am not sure what age they start at but I know it is quite young. Here is the website: www.jwtumbles.com
Also, check out the YMCA's. I know the Rye Y has a lot of great programs but unfortunately for me I work and can not get my kids to the programs during the daytime. Good Luck and have fun!

Check your local library, in Rye we have a great story time with singing and dancing, even the tiny babies love to watch and listen.

Me and my 10 month old have been going to mygym in Yorktown since she was 6 months old and we love it. I don't know if that is too far for you but the website is mygym.com and it is alot of fun, though you might want to look into when she is 6 months old. We also do stroller strides which is tons of fun and great for a 3 month old.
