Now that that it is getting hot out I am looking for indoor activies for my 14 month old daughter. We live in south scottsdale area. I am looking for some ideas, that do not cost alot. I have taken her to the fashion Square mall to the play area, but I rather take her places were the kids will be closer to her age. We will start going to the pool at Life Time Fitness. But since I work mon-friday I need something for evenings or especially during the weekend. My daughter loves going outside, so that is why I need some good ideas. thanks

What can I do next?

I also use AZactivekids.com to find different activities. I know there are more websites but I really like this one.

How about looking for a mom's group - if you go to meetup.com you might find one in your area, or you can put a posting on there to start your own! My daughter is 5 1/2 and when she was 14 mos we mostly went over to other people's houses for playdates as they were too young to do most activities elsewhere. I found the playdates were more important for me! Hope that helps!

You might enjoy taking her to your local library. Some have regular storytimes, puppet shows, and play areas for kids (Mesa and others do-don't know for sure about Scottsdale area). It's so nice becuase it's free, and, if you like to read, you can sit while she plays, and do something for yourself too! good luck... it's hard out here. (Also, your library will have brocures and ads about local community events.)

Check out meetup.com, there are a tun of playgroups available to moms. I also host one in the east valley, but we have events in Tempe and Phx from time to time. If you like the outdoors and fitness, you may enjoy my group.
