My question is regarding my 8 1/2 year old niece. She is already having to wear a little sports bra and seems to be getting ready to start her period in the next year or two (oh my gosh!!!), so my question is does anyone have a recommendation of a great book that a young girl can read to help her understand the changes her body is going through?? Thanks!
There is supposed to be a great american girl doll. It is written for 8-12 year olds.
American Girl makes a good book. You can find it at Target, Wal-Mart, Learning Express or online.

The Care and Keeping of You
I first saw this book about ten years ago and wanted to remember it for if I ever had a little girl. I bought it when my daughter was about 2 and have been saving it for her. Awesome book!
ditto for the American Doll book. My friend has a 10 year old and they read and discuss a chapter each night. She loves it.
