5Weeks Pg, Low Hcg, Spotting

Found out Sunday we're expecting #3 but started spotting Thursday evening. Small amounts Thursday evening and throughout Friday of pink and red blood. Beta Hcg Friday am only 150. Should I get it rechecked Saturday evening or Sunday morning? Obviously anxious to see a rise and would rather do it sooner than later... Also, midwife asks about cramping but can't confirm or deny it as I have had generalized muscle tension and some twinges here and there but nothing really painful?

Just FYI- first two pregnancies were easy with girls but was forced into Csection with 2nd due to frank breech and low AFI. Both girls were premature (31 and 34 weeks). At delivery with #2 I was found to have one ovary, half a uterus, and one kidney so I am already considered high risk and slightly anxious :P

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Did my repeat BetaHcg early (@36hrs rather than 48) and level has dropped to 80. Not a surprise to me now as I started passing darker blood this afternoon and some small clots. Progesterone level of 1.7 also shows not a viable pregnancy... Guess we'll have to try again :(

I wish you much luck. As impatient as I would feel at that moment, I would probably wait until Sunday morning. Hcg levels are at their highest in the morning. I feel it would be a more true reading.

My levels were low too with my DD. It turned out OK. Much luck.

You should get your Beta HcG rechecked every 48 hours. And it should double if it is normal. Do you have any pregnancy signs? like nausea, vomiting etc? Good luck :)

I'm so sorry sweety. You know right after my last miscarriage we got right back on the horse and the next ovulation we got pregnant. He's my one year old standing right in front of me. He's wonderful and had I not had that unfortunate happening I wouldn't have Lex. I know this isn't your circumstance. I'm just saying get back on that horse as soon as you emotionally and physically can. I'm just trying to give you hope. baby dust. :)

I agree with Angie. HcG levels are read the most accurately with first morning urine. It would be worse to get a result that would scare you and you still wouldn't know one way or the other. That said, I had really low HcG levels with my daughter in the first few weeks. She is healthy, so I really hope the same happens for you. Sounds like you are a higher risk, but they symptoms you are describing do not necessarily shout 'miscarriage'. I know it's hard to wait, I wish you the best.
