I'm stuck moms! My sons birthday is in December (yeah I know its a while away but better plan now for me so I can make sure everything is together) and I want him to have a birthday party, hes already been to several of his friends and I feel its time he can appreciate a party and have fun at them. Well he had the option of a Star Wars, How To Train Your Dragon, or Mickey Mouse themed party and he chose HTTYD (How to train your Dragon). The guests will be between the ages of 2-4.

Problem is, where to have his party? Ice skating rink, roller skating rink, bounce house area? I'm afraid it'll be a little too cold to have his party at Mt Trashmore or one of the other parks around here. I'm just looking for ideas of where to have the party because our house is not big enough for something like that and I'm looking for something that will not cost me a fortune to put on a 4 year old's party.

Any ideas?

What can I do next?

you could send out in the invitation that you are unsure of the location but you will call/email everyone the day before at the latest on where it is. give them the two options in the invite and if the weather is too bad then change it to something indoor. with this though you would have to pick something indoor that didnt have to be reserved. the rec centers have rooms you can rent for like 30 bux though. check into that and you can decorate it and they have tables and chairs then you just bring in your pizza and cake and suck you want for the party.

We have a lot of indoor playgrounds down in S. Florida.. Do they have anything like that up there? Down here there's A Latte Fun Playground and Cafe, LaLaLand, Pump it Up, Twisters, Little Gym, Barrel of Monkeys, Monkey Joes,etc.... My son is going to be 4 next month and we are doing it at a indoor playground... They set everything up for you and clean everything up for you at the end... Well worth it!

My son also turns 4 in December. Tough because of the weather. I like the bounce house place since it has something for the younger guests (you said 2yr olds would be there?) Some movie theaters have party packages as well which would be good depending on your group size. Do you have a children's museum? They also offer party packages. Have fun!

I am not sure of your budget or what is in your area, but are there gyms that could host the party? We had our 4 year old daughter's party at The Little Gym, and they had many options as far as themes go. They could tie in the one that he wants. They ran the party entirely, which was what I was looking for as we had just had our son a month before the party. I know a lot of gymnastic gyms also host parties. It might be something to look into. I think that all of the kiddos would enjoy it! Good luck!

We had my son's 4th Birthday party at Glazenfyre, a paint your own pottery studio. The kids all loved it and it was a lot of fun!!
