Ok, so we are wanting to have our daughter's second birthday party at one of these two locations. (Unless someone has another idea besides Nature and Science Museum or the Allen Natatorium... both booked)

1. Pump it Up Jr. (Plano)
2. Planet Pizza

We are leaning towards Pump it Up Jr. because it sounds a bit less hectic because we will be the only people in there. I have a rough and tumble kid who really enjoys this type of thing.

Anybody got any good or bad feeback on either of these? Just thought I would check with you all as I need to book on Monday.

TIA

D.

EDIT: Thanks everyone for your responses. I booked the Pump It Up Jr. yesterday. I will "report back" once the party is over. So far, so good... the person I booked with was friendly and professional.

So What Happened?

Well, we had our daughter's 2nd birthday party at Pump It Up Jr. in Plano just yesterday.

My 3 word summary review? It was AWESOME!

Details of our Party:
12 kids - all under the age of 4
20 adults - parents of said kids and grandparents
All food and kid favors provided by me (this is a plus in my book... they also offer these items for purchase)

Reasons it was AWESOME:
1. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly young man who was to help with our party. We simply handed all of our party stuff (cupcakes, koolaid, hats, goodie bags and decorations) to the staff and went to the waiting area (complete with toys) to wait for and greet our guests.
2. After everyone arrived a few minutes before the beginning of our party, we had a BRIEF safety instruction and proceeded into the bounce area. (The kids even have a pint sized door to enter.)
3. The bounce area (or Arena as they call it) has 3 large structures: a double slide with a climb up area in the middle, a bounce pad with connecting 3 "igloos" and exit slide, and a obstacle course with exit slide... they were all very fun and most of the kids could do most things with little or no assistance. There were also some other things like a car, etc in the area for the kids to enjoy.
EVERYONE enjoyed the bounce area. I even caught some adults sneaking up the slide with no kid! haha You are encouraged to bounce with the kids! The staff in the bounce room were GREAT... so nice to the adults and kids and constantly checking in with me to make sure everything was ok.
4. You pay only for kids 10 and under. Older kids and adults are free.
5. After 1 hour of bouncing, which was exactly the right amount of time, those kids were tired... we moved into the party room where everything was beautifully setup at pint sized tables. For the next 30 minutes we ate cake and my daughter sat in a giant inflatable throne and opened presents.
6. We said goodbye to our guests and passed out our small goodie bags. Every single parent said how much they loved it and that they were going to have parties there too. Then I went to pay while the staff cleaned up the room and packed up all of our stuff. They even helped carry it to the car!

Awesome experience... we WILL be back.

Hi D....

I have been to both places for birthday parties and they were both a lot of fun. However, Planet Pizza does have A LOT of kids and the privacy of Pump it up jr. was a lot nicer. Much easier to spot everyone. More room to play. Have fun with whatever you decide.

I've had parties both places. Both were awesome. For a child that young, I would for sure go with Pump it up Jr. since you get the place to your self - you won't have to worry about big kids you don't know messing with your kiddos!

You might also want to consider Gymboree. They have great birthday parties and there is a Gymboree on Park at the Tollway.

We had DS's 2nd birthday and PIU Jr and loved it. Great experience all around. We've since had his 3rd and 4th and the other PIU in Frisco and have had equally great experiences. I'd highly recommend having it there. There's so little you have to do (they handle just about everything) and the kids LOVE it.

GL!
