I'm looking for some fun games to play at my daughters 2nd birthday party. It will be mostly adults, with a few young children. We will be having it at a park. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What can I do next?

For my daughter's 2nd birthday, I found a birthday cd at the library with birthday songs. The kids had a good time running around and doing what the songs stated to do. It was a great time for my little girl and especially since she loves to dance! Good luck!

This isn't a game, but it something fabulous for a 2nd birthday. I found The Birthday Interview at a store called Simply for Giggles. It is a little interview game and it comes with a cd so you can video tape your little one on their day and keep it forever. The interview book has simple questions that are fun you and your little one. We had a blast filling it out with our sons silly answers on his 3rd birthday. It is a keepsake and something most parents wouldn't do. www.simplyforgiggles.com or stop in to either store in Des Moines or West Des Moines. Hope this is helpful!

we just had a party for our 3yr old and two games they liked were: drop the clothes pin into a bucket (used a plastic jar) and pass the parcel (wrap up a prize in a box and use different layers of paper, between each layer put a piece of candy, play music and when you turn it off the person holding the box gets to unwrap one layer of paper and gets the small treat>

How about a daddy-daughter croquet-game? My toddlers love helping their dad give that colored ball a whack around the yard. There are even alot of versions of the game aimed at toddlers... instead of wire wickets, they're shaped like animals and such. I just saw that Target has a set of toddler animal croquet in their new summer stock.

There's also hopscotch (there's rubber/foam pad versions) for use on grass.

Or how about a simple scavenger hunt? You could have parents partner with their little ones, give them a sheet of paper with simple pictures of things in nature to collect. They can look for an acorn, a leaf, a dandelion, a pretty rock, etc. Or you could bring some small trinket/cheap toys and plant them around the park (sort of like an Easter Egg hunt) and give people a list of things to look for etc. The first group to find everything wins the game.

How about "Duck, Duck, Grey Duck" or "Freeze Dancing" (play music, kids dance and have to freeze when the music stops) - my 2 year old loves these! Since you'll be at a park you could also do a few simple races (down slides or from one spot to another) or hide and seek.
