Hello, My husband and I are finally getting serious about having a family. We have been married almost 4 years and never used birth control, but have never been pregnant either. I am trying to be more aware of my cycles and ovulation- which has been happening about every 34 days for the last year. This past cycle I tried using an herbal supplement that was supposed to naturally boost fertlity- a very popular brand. I don't know at this point if it worked or if it messed up my cycle. I will be 11 days late tomorrow, with some symptoms that I never have before I start my period- very tender breasts on and off, and I have been more tired than usual. I have taken four hpts with all negative results. I am rarely late, and never by more than a couple days. I want to discuss this with my husband, but if I could be pregnant I don't want to spoil the surprise- it would be our first! Any help or advice would be so appreciated- thank you!
P.S.- Thanks for the answers so far... it looks like I'm due for a blood test, ladies! We are new to the community, and I don't have a doctor yet here. Can I get this test at most regular clinics?
Well, I went to the doctor yesterday and requested a blood test and he gave me another urine test. Also negative. He said the blood test would reveal the same thing, and instead is scheduling me for an ultrasound to see whats going on. Its day 12 and still nothing!
I am sure even the board of health could do a pregnancy test if you don't have a doctor. Just call around! Clinics are in Walgreens and CVS, ask them for somewhere to go (maybe even they have one?) I know hospitals have clinics all over. Hope all is happy happy~!

You may be getting a horrible period or you could be pregnant...although a ept should work. Make sure it isn't expired :)!

Go get a blood test just like these three ladies said. It is more accurate, home pregnancy tests can give false negative if the hormone used to set them off is too low. I learned this from a doctor with my first pregnancy. Good luck and I hope you are pregnant. :)

I agree with all the ladies that you should get the blood test. Any doctor can order it then you just go to the lab to have it done. Minded the blood test can have false negative too. It happened to me:( You can also request to have an ultrasound done. So, just live your life as if you're prego until you can prove otherwise. Like my MIL's favorite saying there is no fix for regrets.
You could call your doctor and ask for a blood test. They're much more accurate. Good luck!
