Painful Constipation During Pregnancy

My best friend is pregnant with her second pregnancy. She has been experiencing painful constipation for about five days at a time. When she does go, it's not enough that she feels relief. She consulted her doctor and he suggested OTC anti-constipation medicine, but nothing is working for her. She's been feeling really depressed, with headaches. It's even affecting her work performance, because she can't even focus. Has anyone experience this? If so, what did you do to help?

Lower Back Pain, Abdominal Pain During BM Especially During Periods

First some history: I've had 2 c-sections (the last was June 2008) and I've had BM problems ever since. I just had surgery to try and heal a fissure. Beginning about Sept 2008, I have had a pain in my lower right side in my back. It's worse during my period. Sometimes I can have it for 2 or 3 months straight, and then it will skip a month or 2. Anyone Use Miralax?

My almost-3-year-old had horrible constipation issues that were finally resolved w/ Miralax. It works wonders. My ped told me it is OK for him to stay on it awhile, but I wondered if anyone had any experience w/ long-term use? I'm concerned that if he becomes too reliant on it he will have a difficult time later on. Any advice?

Hemorrhoids and Constipation at 9 Weeks!

Hello Ladies, I am 9 weeks pregnant and having issues with hemorrhoids and constipation. My doctor told me to use Tucks and an over the counter hemorrhoid cream but it doesn't seem to be helping. I've also been eating a ton of fiber, fruit, etc. and I'm still having constipation. Does anyone know of any other options to get relief from the hemorrhoids or constipation being so newly pregnant? Managing Morning Sickness Medicine

I am asking on behalf of my daughter (who is too sick to read the computer). She has morning sickness all day and actually has the medicine from the doctor that could/should help manage anti-nausea. The one time she took it, she threw it up. Any suggestions?
